Can I ask you for advice please. I have a friend who is in the same situation… she escaped the JW cult but now is in the new age and is totally adverse to the Bible because of what she had labelled as The Truth in the cult… was there anything in particular that brought you to The Lord, or anything in particular that softened your heart? I myself was saved from spiritual occultism but always knew about the deception in ‘the church’ and of people calling themselves ‘Christian’ who weren’t. I have shared a lot of information about the deception of the New Age and the theosophical society and it’s roots in Babylon but she doesn’t seem to want to see it. I’m still praying for her obviously. Thank you in advance. And HalleluYAH for your salvation! Shalom 💛✨🕊

Often new mothers and young teens with leukemia etc.They are not aware of the Jewish principal of "Pikuach nefesh (Hebrew: פיקוח נפש, IPA: [piˈkuaχ ˈnefeʃ], "saving a life")[1] describes the principle in Jewish law that the preservation of human life overrides virtually any other religious consideration. LeM Tails February 17 watchtower article paragraph 12 The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction. In fact, the Watch Tower Publications Index includes the heading “Beliefs Clarified,” which lists adjustments in our Scriptural understanding since 1870. In Deuteronomy 13 it talks about false prophets and watchtower has been accountable to their false predictions and teachings since 1870. Misleading many and saying “my bad, new light!”

You know? Jesus taught that we should respect ourselves and our body. Part of my body is my soul that’s inside of my body and I’m not going to damage it like all the other people who are suffering quietly not knowing why they are suffering from some sort of mental issue or anxiety.

Many years ago when I was around 14 I had invited two JW women into my parents home as I was going to debate them as I knew their bible had left out Gods “election “ and I had already prepped with my study . As we discussed and talked I recall these two senior women sitting in our living room and all seemed peaceful . At one point they began to derive that I was not going along with their stories and discussions . I recall when I asked them why they did not have the same writings in their NW translation as my Bible they backs agitated and I distinctly recall the one women literally having her face contort and she pointed at me and her mouth began to foam and she yelled at me and said “ YOU WILL NOT TEACH US WE WILL TEACH YOU “ I pointed to the front door and I told them to get out of my parents house and they just sat and would not get out , I had to insist and I believe they say stunned as what came out of that woman’s mouth was not earthly . I recall scripture saying not to invite into your home those that that don’t believe : “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:” 2 John 1:10 KJV www.bible.com/1/2jn.1.10.kjv Years later I recall those demons thought they had me but I was not a pushover . I’m a deliverance minister and it’s common that demons speak out of people ...... Good Video ....... I deal with many out of cults and those that have been involved in the occult . About a year ago the JW’s came by my house and I shared my faith with them and I told them what I do and how it works . They were quite interested and as they left I encouraged the guy to read His bible alone and study it a lot and he gave me their weird look ...... The spirits don’t like the truth being sent to the JW members ...... Satan has many bound and he manipulated the word of God for His purposes to enact mind control demons . These are really the main spirits behind the devout cult members and in dealing with these the recipients of these spirits facially go blank ......... Satan has memory tracks bound within them mixed with reward and punishment components to keep them bound . In order to defeat Satan in them I suggest allowing some dialogue then take over the situation as Satan is trying to dominate you in taking with them . You take charge in Jesus name and make the suggestion to pray for them tactfully . Then go in Jesus name and pray for them but within your prayer allow yourself to step aside and the Holy Spirit to speak and allow a binding on the mind control spirits and that any unclean spirits be bound in Jesus name . If they agree with your prayer and are not too bound they actually through permission enact the release of the enemy by their will . It is the will of the person that manifests the strength to retain these spirits and as an act of their will their agreement can allow greater ability for the Holy Spirit to reach them . It’s similar to natural persuasive conversations but in dealing with this in the spiritual rather than on prose and linguistic debating techniques we gain greater ground to convert by dealing directly with the spirits and binding them and ultimately casting them out ...... the follow up is strongly desired and now welcome to the ministry of Jesus Christ . You are part of His church so take part

Felicity Ray Self : I appreciate you stepping in and making mention of “seeker of knowledge” I’ve been threatened many times with death by demons so I’m not intimidated by those that are controlled by the same voices that speak evil . They are all going to be soon completely eradicated by Christ Jesus our Lord and even so now they are under judgment . Let’s not be intimidated by their filth and their lies as each one must and will submit to Christ ! They are defeated and pathetic and to look on them it’s evident they are scared and yet bold in their attempts to lie how powerful they are . Because of Christ in us they cannot have us , through they try they will fail . In “truth seeker “ they have already bound that person as they cannot see spiritually but look on perhaps science or false religion as their god . Interesting that demons literally Hate the image of the cross , they can’t take it and they will do everything to hide it or minimalize it . By Gods Grace and by command made in the name of Jesus I had evil witches and demons within a lady literally Bow to a tiny cross printed on a business card as that is all I could find during an intervention ....... what Jesus represents and who He is and what His promises are and what He has said All makes demons tremble ......... Go in Jesus name , cover yourself( in /on you ) in the Blood ( John 6 ) , do Not fear the enemy ( devil s) . Just walk according to Christ’s commands . Yes we are not perfect but greater is He who is in Us ( John 6 ) than he that is in the world . Go in peace , Much Love in our Lord ✝️

@seeker of knowledge It looks like you didn't read this Awake article. The Awake! magazine of Nov. 22, 1984, similarly explained that such behavior is a sign of "a closed mind," saying: "For example, if we are unable to defend our religious views, we may find ourselves lashing out against those who challenge our beliefs, not with logical arguments, but with slurs and innuendos. This smacks of prejudice and of a closed mind." ( Page 4; compare also the Awake! of May 22, 1990, page 12.)

My grandmother, a JW, found out I was baptised and believe Jesus is Lord. She asked me, "Show me where in the Bible it says Jesus is God." I showed her John 1:1. I showed her that its not JUST my KJV that says that, I read LOTS of versions and look up the original Greek/Hebrew/Ethiopian and Aramic when needed. They all play a part in my studies (this just works for me, not saying everyone should do that). She was silent, but upset. I then asked her, "How can there be ONE true God yet Jesus is 'a god' and 'a true savior' according to her JW idea." She went from calling Jesus a man annointed, to a god, to saying he became like man to understand our pain but was not Lord. This was a while ago and even after all this, she still tries to get me to renounce my faith that Jesus is Lord. She has poor health and ultimately is afraid that she'll lose her "friends" if she questions it too much. Please help me in praying for her and the others who've been shown the light but are afraid to accept it. God bless you all, even the unbelievers, with truth!

They wholeheartedly believe that they have the truth. So keep that in mind if you're ever witnessing to them. They deflect a lot during my experience, but this definitely takes a lot of prayer for wisdom, and understanding amongst other things. Remember that God does the saving, His will be done! A JW coworker put her hooks in me a few years ago. I went ahead with her one-on-one 30 min bible studies at lunch. She invited me to the Assembly Hall for a big important service. My family warned me not to go but I was too curious to say no. It's not often you get a look inside their world. I was done after one service. It was weird, no warmth, no Holy Spirit. They read from JW literature the whole time. They had a few skits about making moral choices. We listened to corny kids songs that sounded somewhat patriotic like a Trump rally at Disney World. She hounded me after that even when I changed jobs. She said an important communion service was coming up. I told her I would link up with a kingdom hall in my new city. That's when she told me I shouldn't partake in the communion elements unless I believed I was one of the 144,000 so I should just pass the plate along to the next person. She started to be more desperate to get together, so I just let it go to voicemail. Eventually she got the hint. She DID get me to start reading the bible again (and saw the 144,000 are male virgins from the 12 tribes of Israel lol) so it's actually part of my testimony 😄

I have children with a woman whose family are JW. My unwillingness to conform to their beliefs and unrealistic demands led to a nightmare of a custody battle. They completely slandered my name, lied to the court system about abuse, and tried everything in their power to destroy my relationship with my children by convincing them I am evil and mean them harm (2yrs and 5yrs). I am still fighting against all of these allegations and trying to mend my relationship with my kids. I still don't think of JW as a cult. In college we were taught a cult is easy to get into and hard to get out of. Sounds like the elders want you gone for anything they see as an infraction. That's not cultish. That's mean and policing its members. All their rules make it burdensome for the members to have an enjoyable relationship with Jehovah. So sad.Their big leaders need to fix the wrongs. Most preachers need to do the same. It's a mess out in the spiritual world. My paster knows there is shenanigans going on but he won't say anything for fear of losing members. It's disheartning to be mislead.

So my family isn’t asking me what I want to do, no one is pushing me to pursue any goals. Fast forward to about age 14 or 15 maybe, all of a sudden, well cost of living is getting higher and higher, now you have to have an associate or bachelors in order to really support yourself, BUT DONT PURSUE ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT! ……. By that time I wasn’t even interested in myself, college, my future… and I was just really hurt and disappointed, FURIOUS. Because what about ME?!? Eventually, after becoming a parent at 19/20 anyway, I HAD to further my education. But it was just like… wow! What did you (my father) really BEAT me so viciously for if I was going to grow up and choose my own path anyway? I did it ANYWAY, so what was it all for? They don’t even know. Gtfoh. Hey guys I recently became Christian and I was curious in the Bible it mentions how we are saved through faith and not of our works. So does that mean following the commandments are considered works? If so does that mean since we sin and continue to sin as long as we have faith alone we will be saved? I’m just trying to strengthen my faith and understand the Bible better. I have more questions but it would take a while to ask them all. Thank you
@lighthousenetwork.tv-media5 жыл бұрын
Hey Kodach, great question! First would recommend sitting down and reading Romans chapters 1-8 in one sitting, and following Pauls logical argument. (bring your highlighter) That should be sufficient to answer your question! Also, run for your life to a local gospel centered Church which clearly teaches the authentic gospel of Jesus Christ and ask them your good questions (Help: 1 tool: www.9marks.org/church-search/ ) But to be interesting, the short answer is good works are anything that is following God, giving to the poor, evangelism, things like the 10 commandments (though they dont apply to us 1 for 1 but close to it) and works are not the root of salvation, but rather the fruit of salvation. Equations: 1a. Worlds gospel faith+works --> salvation 1b. Jesus' gospel faith --> salvation+works

I've been out 26 years and I still to this day have issues and suffer because of what Ive been through and of course, the shunning. The ripples of my mother getting sucked into the JW's back in 1962 is still causing damage in my family all these years later. Very destructive organisation. Can you have a program of how you define a cult or a sect? Because when I talk to a JW about that they give me alot of answers on how they are not a cult. Like that they follow the bible.
@skudwoofer5 жыл бұрын
look up sola scriptura... all cults have a few things in common, usually grace isn't sufficient (the work of Jesus on the cross), there is almost always accompanying work that supersedes or clarifies the bible (Mormons - book of Mormon, pearl of great price, etc. Catholics - the corporate catholic church has final say, marry worship, pope Jehovah witness - watch tower society, special bible that is modified by them, etc.) and they almost always all discourage investigation of the authority that they claim to have and the penalty in all of the above cults is excommunication or total exclusion. As you do research, you will find historical problems with claims that they make and all of the above ones have had to modify their theological stances over the years for reasons that include prophesies that never come true, practices that have become illegal, dates or claims that never happen, ongoing problems like catholic fathers and boys (men are suppose to marry if they have that desire, god never said to serve one must remain single), etc. etc. etc. The bible is god's only word, it is a closed book, there are no other writings authorized by God but the bible. That is the standard that "normal" Christians hold as part of their belief system. Hope that explanation helps some...
