Even in 1995, it was obvious, by what she added to the melody, that Alison was destined to be an award-winning singer. Listen carefully; you can hear her voice, ever so low in volume, but distinctive nonetheless, and it was superb harmony by her that made the song, and it was fabulous. "country" isn't my primary idiom so there is my excuse. i think she is mis-classified though. she is really FOLK with a country market presence. she seems much more style-flexible than country-marketing is adequate for. and she plays well with others. in all respects. real talent.
