Thank you so much for going over how you pitched your tent on the wooden platform. How awesome that you just happened to come to one this evening as well, so you could video while describing what you did. I call that a God- incidence.🤗 Thank you again for taking the time to go over the pitch on a wooden platform. That shelter looked awesome.

We’re enjoying coming along with you on this epic adventure! Our hats are off to you for sure. Have you talked about what you buy when you resupply in previous episodes? I’d be interested in knowing what you include for your trail meals and if you keep calories in mind. Blessings to you and Bluegrass. May your trail be smooth, water pure and trail magic plentiful.

We have, but there is very little to speak about. I even did an episode where I prepared a meal. Our meals are calorie rich but not necessarily good for us. A lot of Ramen, instant mash potatoes. Chicken pouches, spam pouches, candy bars, trail mix, and oatmeal. Anything that won’t go bad.

My husband Jim (Stormy Weather) started carrying six small screw-in i-hooks that he got at Lowe’s for the platform tent situation. He pitched on several wooden platforms, mostly in the Whites, and they worked great. All 6 could not have weighed even an ounce.

We did this too. Also, some of the platforms in the Whites hold multiple tents, and you may end up in the middle.

Thank you for the videos, we love following along on your journey. At the 7:19 mark of your video, you mention seeing a new kind of fir tree. I am wondering if these could be the Eastern Hemlock trees?

Please forgive me, what can you get at General Dollar for re-supply? I have been watching you and Bluegrass since the beginning. GA-ME 2004 AT. Hiking Bear

I can't answer for him but for me if I stop by a dollar general in regards to hiking or camping it would usually be beef jerky, tuna pouches and crackers, ramen noodles, honeybuns. Some dollar generals have a little bit of fresh produce now so like bananas and apples. Easy packable things. I think their prices are higher than bigger box stores but it seems like there's always a dollar general if nothing else lol. Hope that answer helped🫶🏻
