They're human beings too... just as capable of doing what any other team does. @GreenDay1981 your right, there is a reason App State is a D2 school. It's because it s a small college and it would have trouble recruiting in a big name D1 conference. They're too good to play D2 and they can't keep up with recruiting to play D1. App state won the NCAA 1-AA National championship that year and the year after that. Give them some credit, they outplayed Michigan

It doesnt matter who yyou are playing really, in a game that is close like that, if you make a catch like that, you will be pumped up beecause frankly that should have been a game winning catch, but ASU won on the blocked field goal attempt and gave the world probably the greatest upset in NCAA football history.

Penn State beat itself by using Austin Scott, Michigan just did the rest. The Michigan game looked like how the Buffalo game would have played out if we kept Austin Scott in there. Buffalo was leading 3-0 at the end of the first quarter. Then we pulled Austin Scott and racked up 45 unanswered points (until the end of the 4th quarter). You beat Notre Dame in one of its worst years. A ND that only beat Duke and UCLA. A ND that played more like Buffalo this year.

GreenDay1981 I'm not the one making claims that they were pussies not scheduling them, am I, shithead? FSU doesn't have a thug for a QB. And was it Pryor or Miller who traded for tattoos and got one of your seasons vacated?
@GreenDay198110 жыл бұрын
When was this game played? 2007. It took them 7 years to build up the "courage" to face them again. Yes they do have a thug for a QB. He raped a woman and threw punches at Gators baseball players. Hell, the feds announced 2 days ago that they're investigating FSU for Title 9 violations of sexual violence. You really want to talk about ncaa violations? Was it Jimbo Fisher or Bobby Bowden that got the school stripped of 12 wins?
@encycl07pedia10 жыл бұрын
GreenDay1981 lol. 2007-2011 is 7 years? Nice math, bro. No rape occurred. Just a woman who wasn't content being a side dish who lied to the police. Her "original rapist" was well-spoken, 5'10" with straight hair.
@encycl07pedia10 жыл бұрын
GreenDay1981 lol. You mad, bro? Check the facts. Read the case files. Meggs loves to prosecute FSU players. See Travis Johnson. The case was so weak it would be a waste of time, especially considering how she lied, and yes, she did lie and change her story multiple times. Bobby had nothing to do with the online music class scandal, dipshit, unlike The Vest failing to report player transgressions to his superiors. 2011 was when they decided to reschedule them, dumbass. That means they manned up in 2011, not 2014. Cry more, Overrated Shit University fan. It's hilarious that you turds couldn't even beat Clemsuck. XD

sorry i thought you were asking why Michigan had tried to kick a field goal. as to why app. state did probably because they had more faith in their kicker making the field goal than their offense trying to score a touchdown with 30 seconds left. they were already as close as they wanted to be for a field goal so they didn't want to risk losing yards.

@pinsnpies The upsets, suspense, rivalries, traditions, and atmosphere are totally different in college. Remember, Rodgers and Brady were not huge names until after college. "Some college kid (you've) never heard of" may be the next great stud of the NFL. I think college football blows the NFL out of the water in terms of excitement and fun, but that's just my opinion.

Man, Appalachian State really kicked a field goal on 1st and goal with 30 seconds left... They're lucky they blocked the kick on the other end, never should have left that much time on the clock in the first place.
@jkillgrove3 жыл бұрын
App State could have eliminated the drama of Michigan's last drive and field goal attempt if they had snapped the ball once they got to the 5 yard line. Quarterback takes a knee keeping the clock running which forces Michigan to use it's final time out. App State then snaps the ball again on 2nd and goal, the clock starts running with Michigan unable to stop it on 3rd and goal. App State runs the clock down to 5 or 6 seconds, the quarterback spikes the ball to stop the clock, then kicks the field goal to tin with no time left on the clock. Then again, it worked out fine the way it went.
