Wow, that pace of almost 3 miles an hour with that terrain is impressive. You are definitely the fastest unassisted thru hiker I have watched. Way to go!

Seeing the Smokys are only 76 miles and you hike ~ 11 - 12 hours per day, that equals 2.2 miles per hour. That’s average. From a person of your experience and caliber, what is there to be surprised about?
