Fantastic gear review. I find the "how" and "why" parts of gear as interesting as the gear itself. ****Every year I find 5 or so hikers and follow their AT thru hike from start to finsh (wherever Finish might be.) I chose to follow your hike for several reasons, one of which was that gold zip-up fleece you're wearing now. You wore it in a pre-hike video and I just adored the color.

Most of my hiking companions thought the same as you (and me in the past) at the beginning….but by the end carried far fewer!

I'm amazed at how little clothing you took - but it all makes great sense how youve explained it. I have the Atompack Mo50 myself but didnt go up to get it measured by them. I trusted my good lady wife's measuring skills and thankfully it fits perfectly! I'm really happy with it, it just disappears on my back when I'm walking. Good video, looking forward to Part 2

I use my rain jacket as my wind jacket, so I wore it more than most. Others took more clothing than I, but as long as my top and shorts were not wet, it works well

Wow Daniel I’ve been waiting for this video. I’ve been eyeing the Atom pack for a while. Not sure how it would work if o wanted to order from the US. Will look into it when I retire my GG Mariposa. I love my EE quilt but do use a liner and sleep clothes to keep it as clean as possible. No Injinji and no blisters is mind blowing to me…. Lol. Looking forward to part 2. Off to do another section of PA this weekend. Happy onward trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️

Useful detailed info, isn't it surprising how little we really need? It's good to know about bounce boxes too! Can you explain more about them and the pros/cons? Were there any hassles as to where the BB was in relation to you?! Great sunflowers there! How did you find settling back to 'normal' life? I imagine creature comforts are much appreciated but does one miss the fresh air and quiet? Sorry too many questions! It's fascinating!

I got a couple of videos planned on all the non-bag items….and the bounce box is one of the items! Having a toilet just there is a luxury 😂
