Brilliant Daniel. I’m the same with stuff bags. I like them for organization and knowing where your kit is. Something I learned from another thru-hiker is to keep the daily food in the front stretch pocket that way you don’t even have to open the main pack. Genius…. Thanks for the part 2. Very informative. Continued happy trails as we head into autumn.🤘🏻🥾⛰️

Yeah. I realised I forgot to say my snacks were in the stuff pocket on the pack bottom…worked really well

Thanks for the information. It was interesting and helpful. I applaud your organization and acceptance of sweat and rain. While I was in Iceland and here in the states, I love and use the UK produced Buffalo Gear. It is great for warmth, wind and rain. Thanks for the final pack weight and thoughts. Best wishes.

Thanks for putting this together and sharing - always great to see someone's thought processes with their gear. You seem to have put a lot of faith in permethrin (as do I!). Did you feel it was effective? Do you think others who didn't use it faired any differently?

Where do you buy permethrin in tge uk. I’ve only ever used Sawyer’s version

@EnglishmanJustWalking yesterday's response has been vetoed by the algorithm - I assume because it had a link in. Anyway I have been getting permethrin from Sawyer Europe although it seemed like the whole of Europe was out of stock earlier in the summer. I haven't found any other product that doesn't look highly dubious!
