Thank you all for following along and supporting me with your cheers and prayers on this big year of thru-hiking. It means the world to me. I am hiking this year in memory of my daughter who passed 20 years ago and also raising awareness for osteoporosis, something I deal with, hoping to inspire those who can to get out there and Live Life. If you would like to help out with costs of resupply, lodging, shuttles, gear and other necessities along the way....you can do so at either of these links: cash.app/$FortuneAdventures1 gofund.me/663814dd Also check out these two websites: IsInTheBag.com Thruhikermagazine.com

Nausea and hiking sucks. I hope you feel better by now. I love the silence of winter woods. My beautiful GA mountains. Im so glad you are getting to immerse yourself in them again. I love Ramrock Mtn. It is my go-to easy local hike when i need to be out there. Hike on. 🥾💚

I recently got a Nalgene cantene so I don’t need to get up to pee in the middle of the night. Any bottle would work, but these are light, and pack well. Plus it helps keep you from confusing it with your water bottle.

Enjoy watching your trek on the AT in 2024. You referenced Sassafras Mountain in this video. The climb is a tough one. It kicked my ass 10 years ago when I did a weekend hike from Springer mountain to Woody Gap. Good luck on your journey and safe travels!

Met Coyote between Hogpen and Unicoi gap last October. Very nice young man and his trail name suits him well because he is really fast.

Thank you for playing a little on the guita...very nice. As always love your videos. Glad you slowed a little, your goal is a marathon. Yes you are physically ready but you body has to acclimate to the eastern US environment.

20degrees even a tad chilly fir crazy canucks. My sleep system is really dialed in yah but the excitement is hard to beat. 20 miles a day is doable if solo but not in a group. Doubtful at our age you will be pulling off 20 mile days before the smokies at this time unless you are 19. Those evil tenters but that is what you get for camping anywhere vice designated. I always have my awesome junk food on me. It is a must from the start for me.

I average 20+ a day...anything less I feel like I haven't done enough...last year on the AT and year before on the PCT...it's not a mandate I give myself...but is what my body does...I'm pretty dialed in with it lol.

AT elevation is legit. As a flatlander hiker, it wrecked me. My calves were so lit up. You got lucky with the weather. Subbed and watching. Best of luck.

Heck yeah, take advantage of the southern hospitality while you can, plus after a mileage day in the cold who wouldn't want a hot meal lol. Do you have any isinthebag beanies for sale?

Not yet...they'll be available along with some other things eventually

Why would you want to do 50 miles in a day? Wouldn’t it put you more at risk for injury?
