I always wanted to hike a portion of the Camino and Ireland where you could hike every day low miles and stay in various small villages. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with cancer this year and had major surgery this summer and my stamina is gone. I once could easily hike 6 plus miles and now 3 is my limit. I hiked miles every day in 5-6000 foot elevation when I lived in California. That’s why I enjoy your videos. I can live vicariously through you.

It's amazing to see how far the 2 of you have walked and still have enthusiasm for what you are doing

You guy's are moving right along. I know it's been cold at night so I'm hoping you both were warm. They just Premiered the movie" lost on a mountain in Maine" about a boy who survived 7 days alone on Mount Katahdin. Safe travels to you both. I think your ramen an mashed potatoes sounds like a nice meal. Much love from Strong Maine. ❤ ❤❤❤

2100 miles. WooHoo!! Those stone steps were no joke. The views were lovely. The extra dances at the end were great. 😄

I'd say that the most overall pleasant hiking I've ever done is in Tuscany -- that's a place you could definitely organise something, especially next year on the occasion of the Roman Jubilee, and on a group trip, you wouldn't be the only foot pilgrims. The scenery is gorgeous, and both the food and the culture are of course top notch. Except if it gets below freezing AND it's humid, I don't wear my trousers and socks to sleep in, I find my military sleeping bag and an inflatable mattress are enough, plus cotton underpants and t-shirt, long sleeved t-shirt if it's a little colder. And even below zero, sometimes I might start out in my trousers, then remove them once the sleeping bag warms up. Which doesn't work in the aforementioned below freezing AND humid conditions.

Sorry we missed you passing thru the Upper Valley area of Vermont and New Hampshire. It would have been so fun to host you both overnight and help you do a few slack pack miles.

What do you do if you have to get up in the middle of the night togo to the bathroom? Do you have to put on your shoes?
@WorldTowning8 күн бұрын
This is my worst of every night. I used to put my shoes on, but then just started going barefoot as it woke me up too much to put them back on and it hurt my feet.
