😮 This is awesome. My mom made what she called weiner be boats. Cut weiny in half not all way only to open, I liked to roast mine taste better to me. Fill with mashed potatoes top cheese bake till cheese melted, also I like to start to brown. These look just as easy and good. I have got to try. Know they gonna be good. Kind of a casserole version of "pigs in blankets" from the US (I originally learned it in Indiana, but from a recipe in an advertisement I assume was at least regional). You take the hot dog and roll it up inside a slice of croissant dough with cheese, ideally you slice the middle of the got dog and stuff the cheese inside it. You can serve with ketchup or cheese sauce or whatever you like. Oh that's interesting that "Tasse" is in German too. I consider that to be a French with the cognate "taza" in Spanish, but I don't think we have it in English except for the loanword "demitasse". Usually when a word is similar in the Romance languages and completely different in English, it's because our word came from German.
