Hey, so just to make sure that I got you right: the trick to double keywords using MX doesn’t work anymore, and if it did - it’s worth focusing on fewer keywords to get higher rankings?

Not exactly - the MX trick still works (in the US). Outside the US, it could be useful to use English keywords in your localized keyword list. This isn't a general rule though and really depends on the vertical your app is in and the country/language. It's definitely worth testing though.

Great Show! Question: I have a new online Talent Show App that will be Live in a few days. Can provide some advice on keywords? Thank you.
@appfigures2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! “Talent show” is a good starting point, but I suspect it won’t have a crazy high popularity so I’d look at keywords used by competitors (in the Competitor Keywords report) as well as think about the kind of talents that will be involved in the app and research those in addition (ex. singing competition, etc)

A few questions: - Do long-tail keywords for Google Play count only if you use the KW in the description with the words together or can they be apart each other ("long-tail KW by KW density")? - Does the App Store "30+1 character" bug apply to both Title and Subtitle? - What characters are considered "special characters"? For example: &, -, |, :, etc? - If have multiple special characters, does that mean that I'll keep losing more and more characters from my Title and/or Subtitle? - [~Off-Topic] Do you have any quick tips for app websites SEO? 🙂

A bunch of answers: 1. In my experience they'd have to be together. Google isn't looking for very wide matches, meaning keywords that aren't "touching". 2. I believe so 3. So far those are the ones I've seen, along with the various types of dashes and bullets. This is the teardown where I showed the bug appfigures.com/resources/keyword-teardowns/47-word-puzzle 4. The quickest I can think of are to optimize page performance, optimize for density, and work on getting inbound links.

thank your for the tips :-) but - really, the description in app store has no effect at all on the search results?
@appfigures Жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! Yes, Apple completely ignores the description and also the marketing text.

It is useful on Google Play, and it’s nice for users on the App Tore, so it’s not a total loss

Would these words be considered duplicates? track, tracker, tracking
@appfigures2 жыл бұрын
These won’t be considered repetitions. The algorithm can pluralize (and depluralize) but that’s pretty much it. But something to keep in mind is that these words may have very different popularity, so make sure to check them in Inspector before you optimize.
