What did you connect the tee (for the trublu) to on top of the pump? Trying to figure out how to connect mine I have the same pump

Did you just do 1 test? Switch the connection accessories between hoses and then you will have a true comparison. Maybe there is an issue with the accessories. I fully agree that the real world test means more than a "lab" test scenario.
