I have bought it and used last saturday. It is worthy and I strongly recomend. The system is relatively simple and just equal to the carplay of my Toyota Yaris. However, on the mountain, with lots of curves, the bluetooth has disconnected sometimes, but you just gotta turn off, then on again. That was the only disadvantage, it was very satisfying.

I got one and really like it, but over the past few days audio will cut off and play through the speaker instead of my bluetooth headphones. They are still connected but for whatever reason it reroutes audio to the device itself. Not sure what I need to do to fix it. Instructions are pretty lean.

14:02 Can you clarify the connection with Sena? Does it allow you to use Sena/Cardo mesh while also listening for directions/phone calls/music? How does that work? What if you're in a mesh session and you get a phone call? Does the mesh end?

It works Bluetooth to my Sena. It will hear the turn by turn and music. If I get a phone can it will pause the Sena then come back to it. I would think that it will work the same on mesh

@@Woodzman Hi my Sena connection does not seem to be working. It does connect via bluetooth but there is no communication going on. The C5 unit can't hear my voice and I cannot hear any thing through the Sean head set. Any tips

@@Woodzman hi thanks for responding. C5 is the ottocast apple car play for motorbikes. I have a savage helmet with Sena comms built in. I also have a schuberth with Sena comms that I had to pay for as an extra.

I just got a question, this or just get a second smartphone and use it as the navigator for the motorcycle? For price it'll be mostly the same and you can get one of those rugged phones and use your main phone as a wifi hotspot.

Right now I am using the supplied USB cable but it does come with a 12v dc to 5v dc power converter cable

Thanks for the review. I am glad you used it with both your phone and Sena connected. Does it recognize the Sena button to bring up Siri? Actually, does it recognize the Sena buttons?

I have the Sena 50s and this device. I just use 'hey siri' without any buttons and it works.

Hello. Thanks for the review. I have one of these and use a Cardo headset but cannot get the mic function to work across Bluetooth, ie it on,y uses the units internal mic. This means that I can listen to music and nav, but if I make a phone call I can hear the person but they can’t hear me (on,y wind noise from the units internal mic, not from my Cardo helmet mic). Also as the Cardo mic doesn’t communicate with the unit I can’t use Siri either. Anyway can you please confirm for me that you can use all function fully, ie music, Siri, phone, nav, with the CarPlay unit and your Senna headset and that it uses the senna microphone ?? Thanks.

You are ahead of me. I cannot get Cardo and the C5 to connect to the phone. Only one or the other...

One thing to note is that this device does not support pinch to zoom. Also the time will auto update from the phone. Also note - the device only works with Carplay / Android Auto via Bluetooth AND Wifi, therefore your phone will drain a smidge faster due to being connected with both wireless types. Additionally - you will need to download maps via google maps or another service that is compatible with Android Auto / Carplay if you want offline maps. Otherwise you will need a persistent internet connection for mapping & functionality. Furthermore, the included stylus does not work and is pointless. The time from boot to active connection with the phone is roughly 20 seconds. Additionally there is no auto brightness (ambient light sensor) on the device. This is still an AWESOME product that is long overdue, puts Garmin to shame. With a few minor tweaks they could charge $400 and be selling like hotcakes.

Seems that it does not play well with motorcycle BT headsets. Blocks use of comms with other riders. Is there an update in the works? I like the concept but needs work before I would buy one.

What about GPS coverage? Does it need cellular signal to work with the gps as the same the phone does? I ride my Super T way away from cellular towers.. can anyone confirm it works without cell coverage? Thanks

at this point it does not work without cell coverage. it is emulating the phone

This is not a GPS. This is only a reflection of the iphone or android screen. If you lose cell signal you lose the display.
