How's the microphone quality on this device for phone calls? And is there a device list to switch to different phones? Like the blue option on the left at 6:41? I have multiple drivers at my house and I don't want to keep everyone to tap "Forget device" on their phones to connect to here

would you make a video where you use this unit to navigate? I didn't get an assessment of how well this head unit operates from this video. You walked us through the config screen, but I didn't get a feel for the screen response and how well the apple carplay actuall works. Perhaps you can do a drive and open google map app, and use the mic feature to talk in an address so we can see how well the microphoen picks up on your commands.

After some research and reading lots of reviews, I just ordered this for my 2011 Toyota Camry to use with Aux. I’ve been using the Spotify CarThing but that’s becoming a brick in December so it was time for an upgrade! I’m excited and hoping for the best!

Excellent Video which covered everything I needed to know about this unit before making my final decision on what unit to purchase. I was most interested in the 360 degree ability of the dash cam for interior recording. I previously brought a unbranded unit that freezes sometimes due to falling of the mount and I was going to purchase and have install a double din unit on my older European SUV but was reminded by my mechanic and installer that many non-brand (not their brand) units can send false readings to the systems computer and cause problems, so I chose this route.

Great and well presented video as usual. I do have 2 QUESTIONS: 1.) I have read that the Carpuride displays don't play well with polarized sunglasses. Reportedly the display looks black when you're wearing polarized shades. Did you have that issue? 2.) I have read that Carplay has issues with GPS and displaying accurate maps and accurate locations. The article I read from one mainstream media source said there has been severe latency in updating your location and inaccurate locating where the unit is. Have you encountered this?

Thanks for great questions! I just went out and tested the screen with polarized sunglasses and there were no issues! The screen was crisp and easy to see. No black screen. As far as the GPS delay, I've used CarPlay on probably 10+ different devices at this point and it's the same between my BMW X7's OEM system and this when it comes to navigation. It runs about 1-2 seconds behind (my guess). One suggestion is that if the app has not been opened on the phone (after restart or for a long time), it should be opened before using it. I've noticed that it works much better for me.

I use nord vpn and that blocks the Android Auto from connecting to the unit. My wifes iphone connects then disconnects from BT! Pity because it was a good useful unit when it worked!

What is the operating system that manages everything on this carpurid w903? Some say Linux manages everything, others say Android. In your opinion? Is it possible to install other apps on the carpuride or are we forced to only use the ones on the phone? If so, how should I do it? How much internal memory does this carpuraide w903 have available for other compatible apps? Do you have an internal GPS or do you use the one on your cell phone? thank you very much and congratulations

I got carprude w903 yesterday. I connected it to my car with FM transmission . There is no aux or bluethooht in my car. When I connect it with FM transmission , the sound is very bad when listening to music. What do you think the problem is. There was no such problem with the FM transmission I only used before.

Higher bit rate going through a lower bit rate FM signal. or you can try playing with different receiving channels to reduce interference. Best - Just get a couple of speakers that can connect to it or more if you care about subwoofer/bass and rear passengers. Or super budget get a minijack/bluetooth one that can plugin to 12v socket near dash and connect

It’s an option in the settings. Uncheck split for camera and you’ll have CarPlay full screen and this if you tap on the maps, it’ll go fullscreen as well

Do you have to disconnect it from the cigarette lighter port when turning off and leaving the car? Or power it off? Question is, will it drain the car’s battery? :)

Your cigarette lighter port should turn off with the car (it does on all of my cars and once’s I’ve had, but I think some Ford don’t, for example). If it does, the unit will power on and off with the car and auto connect to the phone. By the time I buckle up, the phone is usually connected.

Coming from the unit, it sounds decent. Sounds perfect when via bluetooth to the car. The other person said I sounded like I'm on speaker, but fairly clear and usable.

I haven't extensively used t AirPlay, but it worked the couple of times I used it. CarPlay has been much more reliable than the Lamto unit I tested before. That unit is good, but sometimes it would be a little finicky to connect (would have to toggle bluetooth on and off)

When you want to switch from CarPlay to AirPlay, you have to disconnect the CarPlay first completely. Then connect to WiFi and go to Screen Mirroring and select the WiFi you connected to.

This is junk. Won't connect to your car on subsequent attempt. You have to manually connect it to your phone and car every time. Garbage

It swivels 360 degrees . Guessing geometry isn’t your strong point . A complete circle is 360 , half a circle is 180 and a quarter circle is 90 . Thank me later .
