I’ve had my Abarth 595 a year and can’t believe I’ve only just plugged in my phone and found CarPlay this week! 🤦‍♀️ it’s brilliant! Makes my driving so much easier.

Why are s my u connect not staying connected. Also screen switches of and on and freezes. Car is a year old. Abarth 595

As previous mentioned can you get the maps up full screen instead of the bar at the right hand side , eg so the map goes from the red edges

I don’t think you can get it to go any bigger than as shown in the video unfortunately. But this could change with future iOS changes as Apple might make those changes… who knows!

Hello, can it connect wirelessly to carplay?

isnt it annoying when it's too sunny and the screen is not as visible? Any solutions to that? Any upgrades?

If you install a sunstrip on your front window that will help with top down sun which causes the glare, or tint your rear windows.

Is car play on every 7 inch screen as I’m buying a 595 18 plate and I understand that some 7 inch only have built in nav and no car play

My 2017 Abarth didn’t have CarPlay but my 2019 model did. I remember them saying they would do an update and old cars would get it… but knowing Abarth I don’t think it ever happened. I might be wrong tho

Yes the 18 plate in question does have the 7 inch screen but unsure if you can get CarPlay on it but I know it has built in nav

@@scoobylude honestly I think you will only know once you try as I reckon some 18 models might have it some may not. Could even be based on where the car was made.

@@MarcoPersichillo I have a 2018 abarth comp which has the 7" uconnect nav unit but it doesn't have the optional extra apple car play / android auto. But you can program them and unlock it through proxi alignment

Yeah it should do as long as you have the app installed on your iPhone
