ThickWhiteQueen 69 yes because apple cider vinegar is to acidic for the skin. You should really use a good clarifying shampoo to get rid of build up. Apple cider alone it’s going to help your scalp.

k- okay ACV is not a clarifying for heavy buildup. It has the same cleansing power as a cowash. And yes it’s too acidic to use alone, it could destroy your acid mantle on your scalp over time and then build up will be the least of your worries.

Another really good entangling rinse I just started using is fermented rice water. it is supposed to increase elasticity and lower surface friction of your strands. Your technique is very informative. I use distilled water and olive oil since my skin is sensitive to all chemicals. they only teach basic (and old) stuff and by the book. i went to cosmetology school as well, they never tried any new techniques and would snub any ideas even if they liked them. simply because it wasn’t the technical way. they don’t teach you anything useful. most of the stuff i know today i learned just by working lol and youtube/pinterest 😂🤷🏾‍♀️

@@vintagefiasco2271 I use it maybe twice a month to clarify my hair. On a daily basis, I use conditioner to detangle my hair in the shower and then I let my hair air dry. I shampoo only if I have a lot of build up. Every head is different though.

Looks good! I'm doing the water only washing hair thing too. Been doing it for nine days now and I've added nothing to my hair I love it. No more aloe vera juice in your hair. Just remember, you can't complain that it doesn't work if you're not going to do it correctly.

I wouldn't apply pure ACV to hair. The low pH damages the hair just like high pH does. It should be very diluted and applied to wet hair so the acid can't get into your hair as much

Wow i clarfied my hair today and im so happy i didnt clarify my hair for months because i didnt know that you had to do it now my hair took product in but i noticed that when my hair dried it normally was very frizzy and poofy but then i clarified my hair and my curls took the product in a weird way but my curls are shiny bouncy and they actually stayed flat on my head i have 3b/3c hair

Just tried this tonight I did first mixed coconut oil into apple cider and then I brushed my hair, washed hair with water , I put the ingredients in my hair wash it throughly out my hair and then I shampoo , conditioner my hair rinse it with Apple cider vinegar rinse my hair throughly then dryer my hair with towel and then I put my hair up into a bun

Can I leave the apple cider vinegar on with a shower cap 10-30 min. I have dandruff on my scalp. When I come out the shower I notice peeling/drying on my scalp. for everyone asking how often you should do an acv rinse, the website curltalk.naturallycurly.com/discussion/115078/how-often-can-i-acv-rinse-without-over-doing-it says to do it no more than 2-3 times a week :) (and if you have curly hair, i probably would do it even less than that since curly hair shouldn't be clarified too often) i hope this helps!
