Hey! I forgot to mention this in the video, but this is not something you should be using every wash, depending on how often you wash your hair. I think this rinse is great for using once a week, but some people prefer to use it bi-weekly or even monthly :)

I do it a lil bit every time, but i think my scalp as a condition (it's the only way that my scalp is not red and itchy) so i guess it depends 🤔?

I use shampoo bars (soap based) so, I have to do a ACV rinse every time because the water in my house is really hard. The rinse makes my hair shiny, soft and bouncy. My scalp has never been so healthy and clean. I love apple cider vinegar!
@sarahmonique5321

I do it once a month, sometimes putting a little more time in between. It has a lot of benefits, but it's a bit harsh, too. Also, it doesn't have to ACV, you can use reg vinegar. If your hair is thicker or u have a diff texture (you're black or non-blk poc) leave on your hair for 20 mins, then rinse.

I've been using AC vinegar after every wash for about ten years. I need it especially when traveling because it gets rid of buildup from hard water. When traveling I never know what the water quality will be like so I always bring some with me.

Have you ever heard of the ucpe method? In Portuguese: umectar, condicionar, pausar e enxaguar. It's a good way to take of the oil after a oil treatment(in Brazil we called it "umectar"). It's simple: you apply the oil, leave it for as long as you want and to remove it you apply some conditioner(a good amount, it's best to use a silicone free one) pause(for 10-20 minutes and then rinse it off. Works amazingly! Cleans the oil without striping your hair like shampoo does, it's like a Co washing but better hahah

Something to notice is to not use a conditioner that has a pH higher than 5 after the ACV rinse. This rinse is not only to wash your hair but also to close the cuticles and prevent frizz.

You made a video about fungal acne but didin't mention AVC. I've recently starting drinking APV and applying it on skin since it's anti-fungal (as mentioned). I mix ACV with lemon juice to help with the taste. I can't say it's been effective because my fungal acne was mostly cured by the time I started AVC but it seems to be a good product with many uses.

Ana you are truly the best for hair care! I have been dealing with horrible dandruff (I am 4 months postpartum not sure if this has anything to do with it) for the past few months. Especially right around the front of my hairline. I will for sure start the ACV rinses but if you could please do a video on dandruff i am sure many of us would be so grateful! You have been a godsend for hair care though! Thank you! And merry christmas 💝

Once a month, I pre-shampoo with 1 part baking soda/5 parts water after an oil treatment. I use the apple cider vinegar rinse every 1.5 weeks for upkeep. I was using the ACV after conditioning but I will use it beforehand like you suggested! Can't help but wonder if other people smell the vinegar when I sweat at the gym. 😅

Hey I love your videos ! I have a question tho ! As of late I've been super OCD with my hair and try avoid getting split ends, I trim occasionally, I wash with lukewarm water, oil my hair and wear protective styles, but I see split ends regardless... do you have split ends regardless of how well you care for your hair ? I even take the time to carefully cut the split ends before the split more. Am I doing something wrong ? HELP!
@OrganicallyAnna
@OrganicallyAnna 5 жыл бұрын
Hey! My hair has never been 100% split end free. Some people are blessed with really resilient hair that doesn't split frequently at all, and unfortunately I'm not one of those people lol. I don't stress about them unless they're so bad that it's effecting my length and my hair's overall health. If you're keeping up with regular trims, your treatments and your routine, and your hair is in a relatively healthy state otherwise don't stress! It sounds like you're really on top of your hair care so don't overthink it too much :)

Definitely gonna try it, thanks Anna for all the useful information ♥️♥️ Also I'm facing this constant trouble that my hair a starts feeing heavy once it crosses a certain length and I feel Mt neck bending forwards a lot more, even when I'm just sitting . For me that length is just below my butt and I keep trimming 2-3 inches so as be comfortable. I'm planning to get my hair cut into big chunks of layers so as to maintain its length as well as reduce the thickness of my hair but I've heard that getting layers really damaged the ends of your hair. Is that really true?
@OrganicallyAnna
@OrganicallyAnna 5 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily! When you layer the hair, the longest layer just ends up being the thinnest because ofc you took away some weight of the hair. You've also created ends for each layer so just have more places available to experience split ends. When I was growing my layers out I didn't notice more breakage, but just continue to follow your routine and take care of your hair :)

Hey! I really enjoy watching your videos I always try applying them to my hair since my goal is to have Long and healthy hair.I been watching videos about how to take care of your hair and hit masks and trying every oil and mask, basically everything for about 3 years now. My hair grew a few inches but not as much as I wanted it to grow. I tried many hair oils but none of them really worked, so you recommend any oil.I really want to try the black seed oil so if you know any type of black seed oil that I could use because I remember you making a video about it. My hair type is shiny smooth and wavy. The length is under the shoulders. It’s kinda thin.

I love black seed oil, it doesn't really matter which brand you use as long as it's 100% pure black seed oil with no other ingredients, like silicones. I always mix it with a carrier oil because it's strong and I apply it all over my hair and scalp :)

Hi Anna, you're videos are fantastic and So informative. Allow me to humbly share 1 small piece of advice with you, bearing in mind that I'm a follower and love your content. Maybe you should consider adding some sort of animation to your videos, or something that doesn't involve alot of talking. Only because continuous speech feels like a lecture and then it becomes monotonous and I feel like I'm zoning out. I hope you got my point. Thanks

Thanks love! My videos are mainly for information, I'm not very good at editing or anything like that so I try to include demos of what I'm explaining when I can. I'm just not an animated person 😅

I have blonde hair. Will this damage it/change the color?

Actually no. It will only eveal the true color of your hair by removing all the residue on it. If your hair looks brassy you can easily get rid of it with bicarbonate soda rinse and acv

Hey Anna, I recently got a haircut (above shoulder length) and I am in love with my hair! My hair is so soft and shiny and much better than when out was elbow length. However, my hair type is in between wavy and curly and I was wondering how I should protect my hair against damage and split ends? Most leave in conditioners have silicones and other harmful substances, but I do use the Sukin hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Which is made with Sulfate and silicones and is completely natural.

My favourite leave in conditioner is the sweet pea leave in from Carina Organics. It's silicone and sulfate free and so are their shampoos and conditioners, which I also love. Calia and The Innate Life also have really good silicone and sulfate free products :) In terms of protecting it now that it's shorter, just continue taking care of it in the same way as if it were long. Try to avoid heat, over-washing, and chemical processing as much as possible. Be consistent with masks and treatments and find a routine that works for your hair type🖤

It definitely can if you use it too frequently for your hair type. I like to use it once a week and my hair is also dry. Some people like to use it every other week or even once a month. Start with once a week and see how your hair feels 🖤

I did it for a whole month after conditioner i would pour it on my hair and let it sit for a few mins before rinsing with cold water and here's what happened: I have 1b/f/ii hair and this did work in making my hair shiny and pretty easy to detangle For the first few washes... However the ph in it (or something) somehow messed up my leave in and made my hair over moisturized (yes its a thing it CAN happen) it felt gummy.. stretchy .. omg just horrible! So I had to stop it for the sake of my hair. And I hated how I smelt afterwards hahaha. I dont know what it did but I had to use my protein products for like a whole month just to get my hair looking decent. So moral of the story I guess its not for everyone's hair type. Or it couldve just been the type of leave in and sh/cond and it counteracted with the acidity??? Who knows.. But all i know is I will never touch it again😂 im glad it works for you though❤

It definitely depends on your hair type, how often you use it, what the rest of your routine looks like, etc. Hair care and treatments are so trial and error! That's why I like to follow the capillary schedule so my hair is never getting too much of one thing (moisture, nutrition, protein). I find that using the rinse once a week or so, usually after an oil treatment, works best for me. Maybe one of the future rinses I share will work better for you 🖤
