You're welcome, I hope this is the exact cake that you remember. It was so nice to have this in the house, it's a delicious cake. Notice that I wrote in the past tense... something this good doesn't last very long!

@@ninainthekitchen1455 yes ma'am very similar. Only difference, my grandma would put the sugar and apples in a bowl and let them get a little brown over about an hour. She used slightly smaller size chop and about half the apples. Otherwise the crumb looks exactly the same and the smell of that cake was heavenly. And the praline seals in moisture making it an unusual and tasty cake. I am going to make this cake this weekend. I can't wait! I searched for thirty years!
