After the initial excitement surrounding the Snapdragon X launch, the reality of these devices has become evident, leading to a decline in their popularity. I returned my SP11, and I can confidently say there’s no compelling reason to purchase an X Elite over a MacBook unless you’re adamantly opposed to Apple. However, if you’re a Windows user, there are two viable options: AMD or waiting for Intel. The upcoming M4 chip will be regarded as the best ultrabook chip. The 2024 coming in October looks like the best option for premium ultrabook buyers.

Hell, if you are going to look at it from that point of view, there's no need to buy a MAC when you can buy a Windows with Intel or AMD and literally run every program and game on the planet. Come on now, you should know that by now.

Agreed. AMD's new CPUs seems to have identical or nearly identical performance and battery life as the Snapdragon X Elite laptops. They, AMD's new CPU/iGPU, have an advantage due to being fully X86 software and full gaming capabilities.

Not only gonna be the best ultra book chip but the M4max is estimated to be faster than a r9 9950X /core9 285K (both DESKTOP latest and greatest). Apple is truly cooking👑.

@@williamcopeland2617 you are delusional 🤡🤡 you cant even name the chip typic 🤡. M3max already destroyed the 14700K and sits very close to a 14900K /7950X. The gpu is also 4080m 130w lvl. M4max CPU is up to 30-50% faster than m3max. Yeah it will easily destroy 15gen ARL 285K and zen5 9950X. And m4max comes in laptop form imagine a desktop cpu💩 getting manhandled by a laptop that stays quiet and cool and can be carried. Wake up windows sheep and forget cinebench🤡🤡

First thing I did on my Yoga Slim 7x was uninstall McAfee, it's the only bloatware pre-installed. The built-in Windows defender is better. Haptic vs Mechanical click is not because it's Windows, unlike Apple there's many companies making Windows laptops, with differing hardware. The Microsoft Surface laptop has a haptic feedback touchpad that you're more used to.
