Apple was replacing the 21.5", not the 27" iMac. In a slight bigger footprint, they've upgraded it to a 23.5" or 24" as Apple kinda rounds up; not sure why they didn't round up 21.5 to 22. Who knows? Wonder what the 27" successor will look like or if they'll consolidate the 27" with the iMac Pro as the new iMac Pro.

I wonder how the M1 handles Daz Studio. These new iMacs are kinda cute but the fact that Apple doesn’t use nVidia (which Daz is optimized for) is kind of a deal breaker for me.

7:40 21" or now 24" and 27" seems iMacs have always come in these sizes. so they didn't chose to go with 24" instead of 27. this is just an update for the smaller screen, the larger (27") likely coming soon.

Finger print start up defo works on the new macbook air & pro's, but it also turns on when you open the lid too.

Hi It looks fine! I am a 64year old woman and have just ordered one in green my favourite colour. I am a novice even though I have used computers for quite some time but never mastered all the apps and features on my past devices.. includes the iPhone 7 old I know and my iPad.. A question my devices are full and no more storage can I transfer the information onto my iMac from them? Also does the iMac come with word, excel etc... I can't wait for it to come!!!

I hope it serves you well. I got my dad a 27inch iMac in 2011 on his 70th and it just stopped working a few weeks back. Graphics card went. I think it’s done well to last 10 years so I’ve just ordered a blue iMac M1. He didn’t want to downsize on the screen size but I’m sure he will like it.

How do the speakers sound if you play some music or a video/movie? I’m not sure my old Bose computer speakers will connect. Looks like the only way possible could be from the auxiliary port on one of the speakers to the headphone jack…

Thanks for the review. Great explanation. Could you please suggest me which configuration I need to look for in imac 24 2021. It's for my office work. I don't do office work on actual iMac. I connect to my office work through remote desktop connection using Citrix receiver. I don't play games or store videos or pictures on imac. I will install some stuff about leaning like java or android or python. Could you please tell me which configuration is good for my work. Is that I have to go for 16 gb or 8 gb 512 or 256.. Am really confused and looking for help. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

The thickness of the chin is a play on Apples design language for the past 50 years, just by seeing the chin you instantly know what brand it belongs to. Same with the front camera on iPhones. They stand out amongst all other generic devices.

I say the Apple iMac M1 is a bad product, because the ram memory cannot be expanded, nor can the internal disk be expanded, there is no USB, it is a delay rather than an advance. Apple has a minimum of more than six years before its processors are perfected
