Yes it is well more than enough. 8 GB is sufficient for most tasks. Leave M2, Even M1 8 GB is sufficient for most Apple Intelligence Tasks.

Hi Brandon, could you consider doing a video on all the apps/ softwares you use for your mac/book. I see a lot of different app information on your menu bar and was wondering what they are all about. Also, how do you get to show the battery for all your devices on the battery widget? On my M1 MacBook the battery widget only shows the laptops battery and my AirPods (only when they are connected). Lastly, the “Reduce Interruptions” focus mode is only exclusive to Apple Intelligence capable devices? Cause I don’t see it on my iPhone 13 😅🙃 Thanks for the detailed video as always!

I authored a number of technical articles in my career. In my opinion, AI writing tools are contributing to the dumbing down of students learning to compose and the decline of writing skills across the board. Learning to use proper grammar and the ability to compose a message that the intended audience will receive and be receptive is going to be a lost art.

I have an M1Pro MBP and updating to 15.1 made my camera very very grainy. I’ve seen others complain about the same thing on MacRumours and Reddit. Any idea if this will be fixed soon through a patch or if the current 15.2 Beta has the issue too? I’m seriously considering downgrading the software otherwise :/

Having been away from the latest operating system, I believe it was Yosemite, for my previous iMac. However, I did not dedicate sufficient time to comprehending the Mac OS. I regret not investing more time in understanding its intricacies. After watching this video, I directly installed the update (15.1) to test apple intelligence because I have an iPhone 13 and it’s not possible on my phone but apple intelligence isn’t working for me yet. I joined apple intelligence waitlist and it says I’ll be notified when apple intelligence is available for my Mac. I have an M1 MacBook Air, using English USA but living in another country. Apple intelligence would come in April, but for me this saving apps on external drive might be useful. I wonder if it would only save main app, or also other data this app generates (for Xcode will it just save Xcode on external drive, or also all simulators, device files etc.) I have only 512GB hard drive, and300GB is taken by system files (maybe Time Machine), so I only have 200 for my own use, and that's not a lot. Xcode takes over 100GB of that, and I need to manage all my files and other apps, to be under 100GB

Simply change the Siri language, system language, and region to US English. I successfully completed this task, and it has been working without any issues. If Apple Intelligence is stuck in the “preparing” state (as it was for me), restarting the Mac may resolve the problem. Fun fact: i rewrote my comment with apple intelligence, lol

I’m feeling compelled to switch back to a MacBook because of Apple’s seamless integration of AI features. I currently use a Surface Laptop 4, but the AI features in Windows are only confined to Microsoft Copilot app. Copilot feels slow and boring. I hope Microsoft integrates Copilot into Windows just Apple Intelligence has been integrated into macOS.

I think there are some bug preventing some features like smart reply and notification summary to work on my m1 mac. Same issue happened on my M4 ipad too, I get it working by resetting all settings. However for macos theres no such option to reset settings and keep data
