I was excited to try it out and it’s pretty unimpressive. I couldn’t even create a genmoji with a dog rolling its eyes. Even image playground was pretty meh for people. The UI and color choices are horrendous. This feature just seems like a “Look guys we have generative images like everyone else” sorta feature.

it was a miss for sure. theyre not even emojis, theyre images. i thought it would be like a transparent emoji like this > 😮 or whatever. theyre not usable like emojis and they failed to make this clear

@@RemmyMusic1what do you mean? They are transparent. Some emojis are in this format: 🌆 and some are like this: 🐶 with transparency. Of course, this only works in apples apps. Ie messages and notes. Nobody expects these to work even remotely in apps like youtube/whatsapp

I really enjoyed how you could see the entire image, then if you needed to see it larger/more detailed, you could tap to expand it and hide the UI. Cause now you HAVE to tap to get rid of the UI if you want to see the stuff at the top and bottom depending on the aspect ratio. That feels like a step backwards to me.

That photo change feature it’s absolutely horrendous there is no way Apple is gonna put that in the public release of iOS 18.2, it literally looks like a bug that should be fixed.

I disagree. When that zoom feature was added, I thought my screenshots were at a reduced size. I hated having to tap the picture to see it full screen. Glad Apple undid this. Apple should put a setting switch for this so everyone can choose which way they like.

Tbh I don’t know why they had to mess with the photo app to begin with. I think it was fine in iOS 17. At the end of the day it’s a photos app so you don’t need to go crazy with it

After heavier daily use (8am - 7pm; daily usage of social media, 1-2 KZbin videos, a 2 hour twitch stream in the background, and checking cpu heavy security w/ live footage app every hour) I am at 55%! Why do I have to scroll all the way down to the very bottom through thousands of photos to see a picture that I just took? I've been getting random screen flickers on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Is this a software issue or my phone? It's a line flicker that goes vertical randomly within the middle of the screen.

I'm also getting this issue, but after installing 18.1 only. I have found out that some are also experiencing this too and their workaround is to turn off AOD, which I did and the random screen flashes/flicker not happening anymore. But hopefully 18.2 will fix this issue since I would like to use AOD without this annoying glitch.

Summarized notifications is an AI feature so you need to set up your Apple ID region to US to get apple intelligence and therefore the new notifications

I keep getting a volume fluctuating when watching KZbin videos… seems worse in landscape mode. It’s either the volume is sometimes clear and loud, and other times it’s muffled and low. Or maybe it’s going off centre like more to one speaker that other and then back to centre. Been like this I think since Beta 2… but it may have been there from getting the new handset, but I just didn’t notice it at first. I think sound seems to go away from the speaker that’s at the earpiece end of the phone. Sound seems to go from sounding central, then goes louder towards the charge socket end of the phone, and then more central again. (Could it be earpiece end speaker getting quieter, or the socket end speaker getting louder) Not sure if it’s a beta issue, an iOS issue, a KZbin issue or my new handset has an issue

Maybe because you’re going between versions of a response. When you’re going to a previous one, it’s as if you are undoing the regeneration, then when you go back to the next one, you’re redoing it.
