Amazing video. As someone whose life Apple Watch has genuinely saved, only a few months ago, I would never use anything else. After spending a month in hospital the consultant said if I hadn’t have had the early warnings from the Apple Watch, he doesn’t think I’d have survived. Doesn’t matter what it costs, it’s priceless.
@CanadianMooseHead Жыл бұрын
Wow, your response made my heart pitter patter a little bit. That’s incredible. Do you mind if I ask what it was you were likely saved from? Or what it was the watch detected? Genuinely curious, and being totally sincere in asking.

I was discussing this a few months ago, the only thing keeping me in the ecosystem is the Apple Watch.
@ChrisSmithy Жыл бұрын
@@BrianGetsTop I must admit I’ve always loved the Apple Watch and it certainly keeps me hooked to the ecosystem just for that, but having come from Samsung a few years back, I just appreciate the simplicity of the Apple ecosystem. I work in IT when I’m not poorly and like to have my devices just work after spending a day in the IT field I like things to just work when I get home! Samsung never provided that for me but Apple has since day one. I still also haven’t got over that Samsung support promised me the ecg feature on I think it was the active watch, would definitely be approved and enabled within a few months of release, so I bought a couple of them, but it never was enabled, even after telling me it was coming soon every time I asked. I wanted this feature for my mum who wasn’t well at the time and wanted her to be able to monitor her heart for her peace of mind. If Apple say a feature is coming it always comes, but in my experience the same can’t be said for other companies. Having said that, the iPad would probably keep me tied in anyway, I use it so much!!
@justSTUMBLEDupon Жыл бұрын
@@CanadianMooseHeadwant to know the same thing if they are willing to share. I was leaning more toward getting the Ring monitor than the Apple Watch (although having both prob wont be bad) as it has a few more features. But the fact that the watch is tied to the phone, it is helpful especially for falls (from what I read). It told a friend of mine who just had knee surgery that they are walking funny and more likely to fall in the next 12 months.

My Apple Watch saved my grandmothers life. She wasn’t feeling well. I put my watch on her and checked EKG, looked fine. Checked her oxygen and she was in the 70s! Did it again. Same thing. Called 911, they came, said the same thing and took her to the hospital. She came home 3 weeks later with oxygen, a cpap machine and I had an Apple Watch waiting for her. ❤ If I didn’t have the watch to check, she’d be dead..it’s so scary. Ty Apple! ❤

The Apple Watch is what makes me stay with iPhone more than any other tech, software, app or feature. I wish my grandparents and other family members would adopt the smart watch life. It's about peace of mind. Especially with fall detection. The same with iPhone now with crash detection and satellite connection. I watch the movie Plane recently and they had iPhones but it was filmed before the released of the satellite feature. I thought to myself. If they had the feature, they'd have called for help straight away! 🤣

Hey Jon! I absolutely love the way you delivered in this video. You made us realise what Apple actually is. Making tech more human is Apple's first priority. Sure, we always criticise or mock Apple for a list full of reasons, from having notch on the iPhones sticking around more years than it should have been to high prices, but we must not forget; what Apple is doing behind the scenes, no one else is doing. Thank you so so much for making this video.

As someone who has a lot of risk factors for diabetes, especially familial factors from both sides, that is maternal and paternal, it will be such a relief for me, to know that I could just get a rough estimate of my blood glucose levels without pricking my fingers now and then. I don’t take much glucose at all, but since my risk for getting diabetes is high, it’s better to start monitoring myself earlier than late, and this visionary Apple Watch will indeed help me, and countless other people suffering with diabetes to get to know their blood glucose levels well, and monitor them in advance, or maybe even help defeating diabetes through sheer dietary management and workout routines, without taking insulin injections or gliptan like drugs. This indeed will be revolutionary in the healthcare industry.

Damn Jon. Love this format of videos. Keep up the amazing work! You are right about the Apple Watch driving iPhone sales. A personal example, my sister, who’s never been interested in an iPhone and was an avid Android user, was given an Apple Watch SE this year. She found out that she couldn’t use the watch the way she wanted because she had a Samsung S22. A week later, she went through her carrier and got an iPhone 14. Fast forward to today, she’s become an Apple Sheep and is fully integrated in the Apple ecosystem. I laugh because this all started because of a watch… an Apple Watch.

The most effective tool will remain a physical object for human interaction. Hence, a tangible device like the magic glas sandwich(The iPhone) is superior compared to a tool which mostly rely on cognitive interaction, as the iPhone involves direct touch. Unlike animals, humans distinguish themselves through tool creation, but there are boundaries. Attempting to create a device which bypass our natural instinct for physical interaction and solely rely on cognitive abilities may be impossible. Therefore the Apple watch won't become a better tool than the magic glass sandwich. I don't really like to be pessimistic when others are optimistic, so just want to mention that this video was beautifully made and I enjoyed it alot!
