At this point I’ve accepted the reality of apple. Every year we will just get a solid phone with next to zero innovation or change. Just a solid phone every year that does everything well but not anything over the top besides videos.

Today, that is all flagship smartphones. Smartphones have peaked. Like some, I am ahead of the curve in realizing external tech (e.g phone, laptop, etc) is obsolete. The future is wearables and implants, or merging, or becoming cyborgs. Hence I don’t look forward to smartphone innovations. They’re not coming. Instead, I am looking forward to more wearables, implants, and merging man with machine. This is precisely Elon’s goal, among other tech pioneers.

As a loyal iPhone user since the first generation I have upgraded every year except for this year’s 16 series. Myself and I believe a large number of iPhone users have found the 16 series very underwhelming to say the least. I’ll stick with my 15 Pro and see what the 17 Air has to offer. Hopefully Apple can get rid of the gimmicky stupid camera button, who ever thought that camera button was a great idea needs to be removed from the Apple design team, obviously the camera button was added to trick people into thinking it was an innovative idea. Apple lost its innovation when Jonny Ives left Apple. These days Apple has me seriously looking at the soon to be released Samsung S25 Ultra and the upcoming Galaxy Slim.

I bought the 16 pro on release and came from an iphone 13. The zoom button indeed isnt that useful, but the camera quality especially the zoom is SO much better, even against my friends 15 pro its a world difference, double oled screen is really nice as well.

Apple lost its innovation since Steve Jobs passed away. I moved a few years ago to Google Pixel and I've been an iPhone user since 3G. Apple is such a disappointment and I'm happy I've moved on.

I use an iPhone but the idea of buying a new one every year is so strange. If the iPhone works after a year I don’t need a replacement. If it doesn’t work after a year then it’s not dependable and I’m not buying another. The new features are nice when I do update after a few years but have never been enough to rush out and get a new one.

The camera placement in the rendering does not make any sense considering that it would not be able to capture spacial videos with the lenses in that orientation. the lenses below each other would make more sense an the bigger spacing between the 2 cameras used for spacial recordings might improve the 3D effect .

Being on the Fibonacci upgrade program that 48 Mpx selfie camera will be great for when I upgrade from my iPhone 13 Pro to the new iPhone 21 Pro in a few years. By the time I am ready for the iPhone 34 Pro will they have a 100Mpx sensor for both cameras and 3D imaging for Vision Pro for pictures? Actually, if you and your friend take images at opposite sides You could use Apple AI to make a 3D image that you could then 3D print or embed into a vision Pro scene? Ohh virtual house staging for client's furniture in a new house!

I can't see macbook pro update in 2025, that's way too soon. This will be delayed, the Air and the Studio will see M5 updates before this, It's most likely be a 3nm 3d. Maybe Apple might call it M5 3D who's knows. but it's just like 15% improvement on the M4

Let me know when the iPhone 20 comes out. Apple isn’t doing anything exciting to justify spending 1300 on a new phone I have the 14 pro max and I use my xs max as back up. I actually use my xs max more due to its comfort. The 14 is heavy and uncomfortable. The only difference is a better camera and a little nicer display. Cmon Apple make better phones or lower prices.
