It's not as simple as walking away. You have remember these relationships don't start out abusive and toxic. It happenes over time, between manipulation, gas lighting, and brainwashing they slowely tear you down until freedom is seen as scarier then where you are. The Devil you know situation. Physically walking away is easy, Mentally walking away that's the hurdle that can be impossible to overcome.
