Before I got pregnant, i thought I was going to keep exercising until I went into labor. When i actually got pregnant, I was in semi-bed rest, and slow walking was all I could do. I had morning sickness throughout the pregnancy babies. My husband wouldn't let me do any housework.

After 6 miscarriages and years and years of infertility, when I discovered I was pregnant, my doctor placed me on immediate bedrest for the first trimester - and I still had bleeding. Kept me on bedrest for the second trimester - and I almost lost Peanut a few times. Still on bedrest for the third trimester - and was taken to the hospital more than once for monitoring. My husband looked after everything. Did dishes, laundry, cooking - and there were those who said I was "just being lazy" and he would snap at them "She is on BEDREST! The ONLY thing I hear from her is how she wishes she COULD do something because laying there all the time is boring!!" Yeah. Might be "fun" and "luxurious" for the first week or two - laying around being waited on like a queen - but after that? Maddening. But I did it, and Peanut became Baby and Baby is now a 22 yr old son. He was worth all the "laziness".

It isn't just all women aren't the same, but even pregnancies can be different...I was sick as a dog most of my pregnancy with my daughter, but it only lasted the first trimester with my son...so even every pregnancy can be different

Not all pregnancies allow for even moderate exercise. If the woman has placenta previa, which has the placenta blocking the fetus's head or feet, an exercise regimen is a very bad idea on account of the bleeding involved.

Her husband consulted with her Doctor the entire pregnancy and he forbade her from doing anything strenuous. My Mama and took over all the chores and cooking. She was so thrilled when she delivered, not because my nephew was delivered safely but because she wanted her job (her house) back.

And if a pregnant woman has the dangerous condition placenta previa, which has the placenta blocking the fetus's head or feet, exerting herself is the last thing she should do.

I've been told that the closest a man can get to understanding what giving birth is like is passing a kidney stone. I've done that and I can tell you that I don't want to repeat the experience. I've also heard that morning sickness is a lot like having food poisoning. The last time I had that, I was puking so hard that it was going through my nose. Boys, don't think your wife is being lazy when she tells you that she is having a rough time with her pregnancy. If you can't be understanding of her situation, try to imagine how much you would be doing in the first five minutes after getting kicked in the family jewels. My second pet peeve is one partner or family member deciding to use their own mistaken belief about pregnancy and what they perceive is going on with other pregnant women. If you aren't an the pregnant person's OB-gyn then you should never tell or force someone to do something that could put that person and the baby in danger. However, I know three things that some (not all) men can't seem to grasp: 1) not all pregnant women have the same side effects; 2) If you're not your wife's OB doctor, you have no business telling her how much to exercise, if at all, or 3) how much weight she should gain. Gonna say this everyone pregnancy is different from everyone else. Each pregnancy q woman has can be different. My mum had a bunch of morning sickness with me but had energy like crazy, my middle brother gave her hardly any morning sickness but she was tired slot, and with the twins she was like sick and stuff alot to the point she was on bed rest and still had the twins 3 months early.

God , I was married to a man like him , he was more worried about weight gain, lack of conjudical rights and losing time off work due to my hyperemesis and toxiemia of pregnancy I had 3 different births and I was really ill through each pregnancy. Pregnancy isn't an illness but for many women it can be very debilitating your partner needs to understand that if they don't well I would be worried about the baby and what the man expects after the birth jealousy of new baby and the urge to getbyou back to pre pregnancy body shape which rarely happens,. There are healthy exercises for pregnancy. But those are very low energy and more focused on stretching and improving mobility. It also very depends on the pregnancy symptoms and the woman's health. Every women's body is different. Some profit from exercise for others it's detrimental.

Exercise isn't always good for people, especially not for pregnant people who are having complications. If you're able to exercise, nice! If you can't that's entirely normal. Feeling lethargic could be because of a ton of things, but is very unlikely to be due to not getting enough exercise. Oftentimes, being too lethargic could be an early sign of pre-eclampsia or other serious complications, like low blood pressure or even needing maybe some more blood sugar

some women get morning sickness so bad it's life threatening, for example Princess Kate. with all 3 of her babies she had to be closely monitored because she got really sick and lost a lot of nutrients, etc. and why do they call it morning sickness when it comes all times of the day??? mine came at night with my son and I was lucky(ish) with my daughter, with her it was more indigestion type morning sickness, my son had me prayin to the porcelain gods after the sun went down.

Jason understands that the main character (his wife) is pregnant right? Why is he body shaming a woman who has a baby growing literally inside her? Why does he think that he can force a pregnant woman to do rigorous exercise that can cause harm to both her and the unborn child? He's always told that women have different symptoms when they are pregnant, but just dismisses his wife who is telling him that she's sick and not having a good time. While I agree he messed up and was a idiot, I feel towards the end of the conversation he truly was remorseful. I feel he should have been given the chance to prove he could or had changed. When he said he would even have the divorce papers signed for a later date if he messed up again tells me he may have been sincere. Also if a person is paying child support then imo they should be able to see their child. I personally want to see a story where it ends on a reconciliation one time. It be a change of pace

Amelia should have left long ago but given how Jason has been acting I guess it would be hard to leave without help & he probably made her feel desperate to make things work out Be funny if one day Jason found out Amelia remarried cause she found someone that actually listens to her, cares for the family/the family's health & doesn't force shit on people, it'd be a massive hit to his ego that he not only lost his ex-wife to a better man but Jason has to make sure to send money to his wife(and by extension this guy) to support his daughter. What might give me extreme heartburn, could be another womans 'go-to' food craving. Morning sickness can start early for some, then others who may have it later on, if it all.
