Now this is how the stories should be written. For once the protagonist didn't cower down and take unnecessary abuse. She stood up for herself from the beginning. And omg when she was mocking her mom, I almost fell out!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. So refreshing because we all get tired of the same old scenario of the antagonist being extremely abusive and the protagonist just taking it and being a doormat. Keep it up!!!!💯💯💯💯

I moved out at 26. I had graduated college at 22. I had 4 years of professional work experience and no student debt. My father's "golden boy" older brother, lazy, pothead, alcoholic, college dropout, bachelor was 31. I thought if millions of people get up and go to work every day and pay the monthly bills, then so can I. Now I have 33 years of independence. My wife and I have been married for 22 years and our son is in college at age 20.

I moved out at 19. My late stepfather and I were constantly at war to the point that cops were called, hands and feet thrown, blades cutting and pew-pews drawn. It was so.bad I got a phone call from my paternal grandparents and they told me to pack, get my British passport and had a plane ticket to Glasgow, where my father and grandfather were born.i was born in Edinburgh I didn't know it at the time but it was ultimately the last time I would see my paternal grandparents alive and relatively well for their ages. Stayed in Scotland for a year and a half. Got a job in Toronto, went back to Virginia to visit and my stepfather and I got into it again, I angrily started to get the next flight back to Toronto and said i would never come back. Stepfather told me when my grandparents intervened and got me to Scotland that it destroyed my mom. A rift so bad I put an ocean between her and I. He said she couldn't take it if I left the country permanently. That gave me pause and listened. I went back as my responsibilities demanded and was offered a permanent position and could get Canadian Permanent Residency and eventually citizenship. It was hard to decline the offer but I refused to be party to breaking my mother's heart for anything. Even my father said to stay and heal that rift. Said his parents meant well but my mother was mother. He said Scotland isn't going anywhere. It is my home and always would be my home. We patched things up. Apologized heavily to my stepfather before he passed.

I don't think this is a fair end for the story. I would be glad for Kyla, who got her freedom from servitude. But the couple of imbeciles that turn their younger daughter into such a monster and the older one into a slave for years, abandoned the monster (and a pretty silly and helpless monster, poor girl), when the slave run away, into third party hands and set themselves free from the consequences of their own actions.

It sounds like she never learned how to take care of herself/be an adult. Kyla was forced to parent her sister, but children can't parent other children. Anna also learned that bad behavior was rewarded and she never learned that someone could say no to her. It's sad really since Anna is a victim of abusive parenting just as much as Kyla was. Golden child and scapegoat.

I fully believe that the parents are the real villains and Anna’s a victim of them: They only cared about her when she was the the ‘cute younger sister’ and refused to parent her, refusing to see her as anything but cute and not acknowledging her if she wasn’t acting cute, making Kayla parent her into she was happy, making her look cute to the parents once again. Once Kayla made it clear that she wasn’t going to let Anna abuse her until she was happy again, the parents, still only caring about Anna’s image as the cute sister, gave up on her as they didn’t want to acknowledge anything else about her, believing that they had lost their cute daughter for good, dumping her at a rehab centre and then running off so she can’t find them. It makes add on a bit to the ending in my mind, that Anna realizes that her parents didn’t really care for her (only when she was acting the way they believed she should be) and ultimately restarts her life, wanting to get away from the image of the ‘cute little sister.’

Ugh- These 'adults' are so pathetic! I moved out and had my own place (a tiny efficiency apartment 😂) at 16... I worked full time at a nursing home and I was emancipated and got my GED. (for the life of me, I don't remember why I was in such a hurry to pay bills 🙄) I never looked back.

So the parents were calling Kyla, who's doing something in life, useless, while spoiling Anna so rotten to the point that she's practically the useless daughter. What is Anna going to do when the parents are gone? She can't bum off every person she runs into.

I tip my hat to the voice actress, being able to shift the voice tone to make that many recognizable voices, as well as make the voice of the bratty sister so obnoxious and grating.

Great video, there is nothing like a perfect marriage or relationship, I learnt that in everything there is always a solution, 5 years ago I and my wife divorced because we were having some difficulties in our marriage but we are back together, it was a really bad phase but we got through it.

That's very insulting to those of us that are Autistic, especially ones who DON'T do everything that others say.

@@TheEmpressReborn we don't care. If you let people abuse you and you do nothing to stop it, then it's totally you're fault. The fact that you posted this comment let's us know that you have clear understanding of things, like the ability to say no. So no excuse. You do have the right to say no to something you're not comfortable with. So if you choose to do something you're not comfortable with, you only have yourself to blame, no matter if you on the spectrum or not.

@@DREADHEADYABOSS The point in my comment was that just because OPs tend to be pushovers doesn't mean that they're Autistic, and to insinuate otherwise is 1) insulting to those of us who actually are, 2) unnecessary, and 3) downright wrong.

They had 2 kids but they only cared for their younger kid. They treated their youngest daughter like a princess and supported her all because she is smarter. They made their bed so now they have no choice but to l lay in it. Kyla had every reason to disown all 3 of them. I will give the parents credit for dumping Anna a rehab center and disguising it as a family vacation. Good move on their part.

WTF 😤 mom's reaction to older sis's solution is appalling, to say the least, expecting her eldest daughter to cave in to ridiculous demands for an adult who is capable of lifting that lazy carcus and help herself. 🙄

Anna, you want cookies...cookbook, preheat oven, recipe, bowl, gather ingredients, flour, sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, etc, mix, cookie sheet, parchment paper, drop batter on parchment paper, bake then enjoy. See how easy and quick that is. No waiting for someone to bring them to you. Kyla isn't your servant and I agree with her not bringing those cookies with your attitude.

There is a “woman delusion calculator” for this 18:23 situation. And I’ve never tried it but if I had to guess, I’d say the man she wants so badly is about 0.0005% of men in the states. Describing that man as a unicorn, is accurate.

Kyla is lucky not being favourites child or else become awful as her sister… wishes both sister and best choice for them away both parent with better influence and find happiness!
