If this is his behaviour as a unsupportive expected father, as a new father I would predict he would be much worse. Expecting his poor wife to keep the baby from crying, and do all of the baby care, plus cook, clean, laundry and serve him regardless of how she is feeling. I think she was thinking of not rearing her child in such a toxic, misogynistic environment prompted the divorce.

I must be one of the very lucky ones.. hubby and I have been together for just over 37 years….he has always played golf every Saturday (unless it’s a celebration day like a birthday) , but that is about all I can seriously complain about …he has always worked hard and been a wonderful daddy to our kids. We are not well off but comfortable enough…He always bathed the kids and played with them daily and always had time for them…most importantly he has never even once been abusive to me or the children in all those years…. I no longer get much done around the house due to worsening health issues but even though he does get frustrated by my limitations at times he never says things to make me feel guilty or worthless…he’s not the most romantic man but he tells me he loves me every time he leaves the house and at bedtime every night ..he makes me cups of tea whenever I ask , even when he’s super worn out from work and he brings me food if I feel like eating something… he has been a wonderful partner and I do not regret being with him for a moment..even when I was home watching two kids and he was at golf I would still feel so excited for him if he won a competition or prize lol…. He has never even sworn at me although I’m sure he has in his mind …lol…I’d be lying if the same isn’t true of me , but we are very content together in our old age 🥰 we do need to make a bit more effort to go out together occasionally but a lot depends on my pain levels etc so not easy …….. I love him with all my heart ❤️

People especially men dont seem to realize how hard pregnancy is on a woman's body and every pregnancy is different. it is so hard on the body that it can take up to 2 years for the woman's body to return to normal, thats why sometimes the second pregnancy is harder if the time between kids is less than 2 years. Also there are certain chemicals that pregnant women must avoid so cleaning can become dangerous not only due to the physical stress but the potential harm from inhalation. Being pregnant sucks for a lot of reasons, and morning sickness is the least.

Why do these people associate untidy with dirty? The former doesn't equate to the latter. And if there are only two adults living in a flat/house with no kids, how can the place get that untidy in the first place? Don't men clear up anything after themselves at all? This whole concept is alien to me. Of course, we live in a pigsty - but that's because I have an adult autistic daughter living here, and she 'sheds' as she walks so the place is never tidy. But dirty? No way!

I have a hard time believing that a man would be this disrespectful to his pregnant wife. I get that these are for entertainment purposes only but come on. When my wife (now X) was pregnant I did everything I possibly could so she wouldn't have to. If she can grow a little human inside her I can do everything that needs to be done. She never had to clean, laundry, cook or get herself anything. I made more than a few late night craving runs, lol. When she was in a mood, I just let her rant. As far as looks, well I guess i am strange then. I thought she looked better than any other time in her life. Not necessarily in a sexual way, although that to, but over all, pregnant glow? I was there when my son was born, cut the cord. After they got home I did as much as I could for her as far as taking care of him. Took two weeks vacation so I could be there and help. Then worked two jobs so she could stay home for over a year, closer to two years. Then a few years later she decided to leave and I became a single dad. Yes he lived with me.

"Other pregnant women do X and Y." "Yes, and other pregnant women also spend MONTHS in the hospital. And other pregnant women maintain a balance between the two extremes. Because pregnancy affects each woman differently. But if you don't believe that I am truly sick, I will introduce you to the women I KNOW HAD TO BE HOSPITALIZED just to get through the pregnancy. For example, my friend who lost so much weight, due to the constant vomiting, that she nearly died. She weighed 80 pounds when she gave birth. You're supposed to GAIN weight when you're pregnant, not lose it. She nearly lost the baby. It's a miracle that they both survived. Also, where do you think all the physical matter that went into creating a child went, in a woman who LOST FORTY POUNDS in a matter of months? Answer: Her bones and organs were DESTROYED. That's what. So, by giving birth, she committed to a LIFETIME DISABILITY, that she will NEVER be able to recover. I'm not as bad off as she was, but that sort of situation DOES HAPPEN. Women DIE from pregnancy! And you're just comparing me to the 2% of women who are LUCKY enough to get through without complications! What is the MATTER with you?!"
