Velma: "I have the right to treat my daughter any way I want." Me: "And you have to remain silent."

I love how the wife's mom told the husband that the best are taken too soon, that's so true; but sadly evil lives for freaking ever, like her.

Meredith; why are you crying? Me: *also had a mom like Velma* Iwant Meredith to be real!

I love getting to hear such amazing MIL stories. Most are always negative, hateful, vindictive, controlling, and exclude the DIL like she isn't a human being.

Mixed feelings; I love that Meredith was so loving towards Chloe, Lord knows she needed it, but Ryan was kinda shoved to the side. But, he gets major brownie points for prioritizing Chloe's well-being at the end of the day. Also, sorry, but Wakes come before funerals.

Wakes vs. funerals? Sure, where you live. World-wide, however, it depends on the culture...sometimes even climate. Big family, 300+ relatives, obviously various nationalities and cultures marrying into the family...plus living in a very cold climate. Funeral first, then wake? Usually that is what happens where I live. Wakes FOLLOW the funeral...typically those attending the funeral drive directly from the cemetery to a local restaurant...sometimes in a rented hall, depending on how many mourners there will be...for the wake. Wake first, then the funeral? Also, yes. Mostly for some extended family members. However, there have been a few for some intermediate family members because they had to wait for the ground to thaw to be able to dig the grave! (Sub-zero weather is no joke...thus often mandates wake first.) This, however, is NOT common for my family and nor is it common where I live.

It is good to hear a mil taken her daughter in law side. Great job

I always dreamed about having a mom like Cloe's MIL.... sadly I got her birth mother but worse. My future MIL hates me for being raised poor in a different county from her... but ì still look forward to being the best mother to my own children

If your future husband doesn't have your back 100% (up to the point of cutting ties), you will regret your choice.

The true meaning is "blood of the battlefield is thicker than the water of the womb". In this case it's totally true. Those who fight with you is more family than those who gave birth to you.

While I love how affectionate Meredith is with Chloe, I don't like those of her comments towards Ryan that kinda belittle him (btw I hope she was joking, and he got his steak as well in the beginning 😉). She prioritizes her DIL, always wanting to have a daughter herself, and doesn't take him feeling a little bit jealous and put aside serious, which makes me feel sad for him. While I guess Chloe "compensates" him with her love for him, Meredith should treat her son with more understanding, especially since knowing Chloe's parents prioritized one child as well...

So I got to the 31:26 mark and I can't listen to it any more... it's a little too real for me, so I'll be leaving the video now. In exchange, have a comment for the algorithm!

"She never had to back to her mothers after marriage" It's not as easy as it sounds. In almost all abuse cases it's very very very hard to just get away from the abuser. Her self esteem and confidence was absolute zero and practically had no will of her own. It will take a VERY long time for her to heal from this.

It took me 10yrs to get away from mine, luckily it wasn't my parents. It was my husband and father of my twins. But in my DA Groups I met many with abusive parents. They are married but still go back to their parents still. Not often, but still feel the have a duty to at least check in and help with odd jobs. They know on some level they don't NEED to go over, but they still are conditioned to go
