Thanks for the Video! So I recently received an AirTag 4-pack as a gift and immediately put one on my Keyring and one on my Bike. I thought of putting one in my wallet but thought to myself, "I never lose my wallet!" A few days later, I had tempted fate far too much and, sure enough, couldn't find my wallet. I finally found it on the cushion of my chair but thought to myself. An AirTag would have made that a lot easier to find. After testing some wallets, I found the best quality from one of the websites that I tried. The wallet is made of good material and is durable. It fits my four cards in the middle with two additional cards on the side and any spare case. It isn't too bulky.

The earlier you buy a Supersparpreis ticket, the less it will cost. When you buy a Sparpreis ticket only two days or so before your journey it will cost nearly as much as a normal ticket (Flexpreis). But if you buy your ticket couple of weeks before the trip it is a lot cheaper. When it says "move" you should actually move to another location as it's triangulating the airtags position using AR for mapping.
@Honeypot-x9s3 жыл бұрын
This^ I wish apple would made a clear onscreen animation because not only is it for the AR purposes but it’s also because your movement helps build a reference to where the signal is the strongest and moving around helps point each of the antennas for it to reference. I found when testing my airtags in my car (big heavily shielded Volvo wagon) that just swaying left to right 45 degrees each direction a few times it pops up. And also like this video indicates have to be pretty close for it to figure it out. Sometimes the signal can go very far too, other times it only goes a short distance, probably part of the beaconing and power saving, every so often it beacons out a stronger signal trying desperately to connect to something for a few signal bursts. I picked up my keys from deep within my house on the outside a few times, and other times I have to basically open my front door to get a connection. I would put money on it that those keys where actually in a car on the side of the street based on my experience.

It was pointing to rear of my car then jumped to front.. but boy did it struggle to get a strong enough signal with my airtag and keys in the center console..
@Honeypot-x9s3 жыл бұрын
@@lumberjackdreamer6267 I would love to scope it, and see myself. I don’t have the hardware like a scope to know for sure but based on what I seen with my airtag and my iPhone 12 Pro Max it seems like maybe somewhat constant low energy signal as connections can be made super fast if your close without obstructions, but seems to be bursts every few seconds because if further back can be a short delay before a connection is established even if by other iPhones not yours. Defiantly seems to be as well that once a connection is established that its a stronger signal and holds it better and airtag once loses connection doesn’t instantly drop in signal intensity. seems to be a short time where it will keep trying before going back to low energy.

Apple has made recovering stolen items harder by notifying a person (the thief) there is an AirTag following his movement.

On 02May22 my 2 eBikes where stolen in Hamburg from the bikerack on the Car. With the help of Airtag and the Hamburg Police I got both eBikes 3h later back, we found them in a gemeinschaftskeller of a Apartment House ca. 4km Away from the Parking Site. My question: is there a log Function in Airtag to find out when in the Night from 18:00 till 07:00 in the Morning they where stolen?

Found your channel AFTER I purchased air tags. I'm one of those odd people who'd sometimes KZbin something about their purchase AFTER they bought it and landed on your channel. SUBSCRIBED as that Soap opera with DHL was unexpected and entertaining haha Decided to go back and rewatch your content from the start, hence the odd comment to a June video!

I think the reason the bike was ditched shortly after you looked for it was because the security guards probably knew the guy who took it and told him to get rid of it

I have 2 airtags, one for my keys and one for testing… my area doesn’t have a high number of iOS users, it’s also fairly rural area. I parked my second car somewhere random in a parking lot near a main road and hid an airtag inside. I found between too rural/low density of iOS users and being inside the car means only get very rare update. I had a friend move the car, he doesn’t have an iPhone/iOS devices so only updates would been from random people with latest iOS update and sure enough randomly got location updates… so not entirely useless even in this area which has sparse iOS users, it’s not ideal but could defiantly aid in recovering property. I also had him take my car with airtag on a vacation trip, my beach house which is in a wealthier class area so lot more potential of iOS users. Sure enough on the route I was getting plenty of random updates of location, enough that could defiantly track him good enough not as good or as regular as “find my friends” but good enough that I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. probably cars nearby and as he approached the beach house area location updates got a lot more common and accurate! To the point where I could guessed his exact parking spot!

The problem with AirTags is that they notify thieves on their Apple devices that there’s an unregistered AirTag following them. It’s meant to keep people from tracking other people without their consent, but subsequently warns thieves they’re being tracked.

@@MegaLag Thanks! After writing, I scanned hundreds of comments, it seems, coming to realize others had had the same question, where you’d referred them to an earlier video. Sorry about that. I watched that one, too, intrigued to learn about a Maco Trace Stealth AirTag mount that had recently closed on Kickstarter, but was available to pre-order on Indigigo. Did you get one of them? As I was finalizing my order, I removed it, when I saw another $10 added for shipping. $40 was a bit too stiff when I think I’m not convinced that: 1) word won’t get out to thieves, where they’ll know to look for it, or 2) that they won’t hear the alert, when it sounds, despite muffling. I did see another video, though, where the sound problem could be easily remedied with a screwdriver to remove the speaker from the back, which could be a remedy… I’m most grateful for all your work - even those on DHL. But it’s troublesome to hear the alerts don’t go, as promised, to individuals go might be being tracked, either personally or by their vehicle being tagged.

For anyone wanting to travel Germany without going bankrupt: For long distances avoid 'Deutsche Bahn' & try to travel with bus companies like 'Flixbus' if possible. You can get a one way ticket from Düsseldorf to Karlsruhe for less than 20€. It might take longer, but if you're on a budget you may prefer taking the bus. If you prefer to take the train & you are going to travel within one Bundesland, like Lower Saxony for example, you can purchase the 'Niedersachsen-Ticket', which is very affordable and allows you to travel within Lower Saxony for one entire day (only local trains though- no IC or ICE) It's only 23€ for one person & 5€ for an additional person. So 2 people would pay 28€.. so 14€ each. You can find similar deals for other parts of Germany as well.
