PLEASE READ!!! 10:48 The date on their “scientific study,” was July 13, of 2020? When working from home was rarity, people were laid off, let go, and the last thing on their mind was a paper on color vision glasses! Plus, I believe it’s in CA. CA was on lockdown, and people couldn’t freely even go to a grocery store. You’re telling me that scientists got together on FaceTime, and discussed the absolute importance of getting this “study” out into the world? Mhm ok! Sounds legit. 🙄

This is awesome. I'm not colorblind myself but I can't stand when companies willingly scam their customers. For your sake I just hope EnChroma isn't as powerful or big as Boeing.

I have a CVD. I see color, but like you I can't pass a real color test. Sex-linked red/green CVD. My mom's Dad was color blind.

I feel like if this technology was real, you’d need multiple versions of different glasses, like one designed for oranges, one for yellows, one for purples, etc. not one pair that solves the entire issue.

To be fair, these videos always struck me as odd, like how can these people recognize the primary colors within seconds of donning the glasses???

The doctor was probably annoyed/uncomfortable with all of your cameras and felt defensive, so that’s why he gave you such a blunt diagnosis

I mean you can get grants without knowing that your research will work or having mistakes. Criticizing this very concept puts pressure on researchers to fudge their findings.

That Ken scientist guy seemed veeeeery awkwardly trying to evade the questions. I feel like he went for the money, thinking 'eh it' s fine it won't kill anyone' and now that it's coming back straight in his face, he's not ready to face the consequences

With shady companies able to manipulate facts and opinions so effectively, just imagine if political organizations did it. Nobody would be fooled, right?
@ObnyrКүн бұрын
I have a theory to try out. It wouldn't be heartwarming or particularly pleasant, but I suggest experimenting with diffraction grating glasses. It would make different colors appear offset by a varying distance, so even with total color blindness it would be possible to approximately judge different colors. It wouldn't be a good way to experience art, but it may enhance some specialized ability or other.

If these glasses actually worked, wouldn't people wear them all the time? So if influencers on KZbin are giving an affiliate link and suggesting that you buy the glasses, they'd probably wear them in all their NEW videos FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES? If they don't continue to use them, did the glasses not work or are they just too much trouble to be bothered with?

20:50 but wouldnt say removing a certain part of the spectrum help you contrast between colours you previously couldnt distinguish?
@OsirusHandle2 күн бұрын
Maybe you could make a pair of glasses where different areas of the glass are differently filtered so you can wiggle it around to tell? or maybe dots of different colour.
@borincod2 күн бұрын
are you sure you have actually paid 40$ for the paper? haha. if yes, (1) you've got into hands of other scammers, and (2) you are not seasoned in accessing and reading academic publications (which is sad)
@borincod2 күн бұрын
to be fair, Cone Monochromacy doesn't mean you will see only grayscale. This is wrong. Besides an ability to see grayscale you will be able to see the world tinted in one extra color

Id be that ahole who would leave a 5star review that says "worst glasses ever. Doesn't work. Don't waste your money. It will never work. Spend money elsewhere. Only buy if you want to lose your money!" Than post Being it's a 5 star review it would show up immediately. But it's not the 5 star they would want because it shows it's crappy.

I occasionally watch your videos, just like I occasionally watch his because I am into drones, specifically FPV. Now is the first time I am hearing about this. Despite being pretty one-sided explanation of the story, I'll stop watching his videos now. I had some slightly less severe disagreements with his stuff before, but this is just wrong to ignore. Thanks

Seems like the problem is they over promised. If they were honest and said the glasses help boost contrast of certain colors so they stand out better, it wouldn't have been a big deal. But instead they exaggerated their claims and promised the world. Kinda like when you're looking for a new car and the salesmen says this thing's a chick magnet and you'll get all the ladies with it. Except this time it's about a medical condition that could literally change people's lives, so people get their hopes up. Not cool.
