Not hate on this video always a fan of your videos and information but been doing something similar to this for years now. All I do is download google photos and just sync everything I have in my photos album to google photos then delete everything off my phone. Now I have everything saved to my google photos and still have my original storage on my iPhone as if I just bought the phone. I got most of my friends doing it because they used to wonder why I always have the same storage or don’t ever lose any storage on my iPhone. Also in my opinion no need to spend more money on grabbing the higher storage on an iPhone.

@@janaazarevica4613 you can delete the pictures from iCloud. Google photos is something different from iCloud. So once you back up and sync all your photos to google photos you can literally delete everything else that’s on your iPhone. Photos in your album and iCloud photos

Is this at all possible if one does not have the iPhone anymore (the phone was damaged I then purchased a Motorola because it was cheaper at the time, I now have a Google Pixel). I also do not remember my password or phone code. I tried to transfer the pictures at the time I damaged them purchased a different brand). I'm so sad I had so many great photos on that phone.

Yo This might help try deleting old backups on iCloud and check the storage from the iCloud settings it could tell you more of want your storage is up to.

Just search for download your data from google photos on your browser and it will show up the google link or there will be tutorial and articles on how to do them.

I did this last year to download my whole entire google photos and data from google and store it in OneDrive and locally. It takes about a week or less. *Remember you can do it for a certain number of times in a given time span

For privacy reasons, I would advise against using either Google or iCloud to back up photos. Instead opt for FOSS alternatives such as ownCloud/nextCloud, Syncthing...

Why can’t Apple just create a better online storage? I hate using google. But their photo storage is really good and cheap. Storing photos on the cloud to free up space on your phone don’t work with Apple. Deleted from the phone, it Deletes from iCloud.

Google cannot store data like photos from google photos and show them to the world or see themselves. They just personalise the experience for you. You always have the ability to turn this feature off.
