As much as I’d love a new MacBook, my M1 Mac mini would be the first computer replaced as my mini is my main computer now for video editing on my channel. My desk doesn’t have room for a laptop with my two huge screens and my mini is nestled in a really comfortable place. Plus the price point is lower. A MacBook for me at this point in addition is unfortunately a luxury especially considering I’m tethered to a 12 TB external HDD and an 8TB HDD. Thanks for the cool update video!

This is what I want too. Just not in the old design. I currently have the 2017 12 inch MacBook and it rocks, but I would like at least like 2 usb c and MagSafe this time. The screen now is amazing but would like a 1080p camera and a regular keyboard. But the design should be like the new MacBook airs where they are more square so they could put a bigger battery. That would be golden. And the same name, just MacBook to bring back the iconic MacBook name. Or call it the new air and reintroduce the small MacBook Air so it can truly be an “air” 😂. Wanting systems that work, have nothing to do with capability utilization but increased reliability. Ie self destructing SSDs and USB ports.

I've got the same issue here man, starting uni soon and I was about to get the M3 pro... I now kind of want to wait for the M4 but that means I won't have a laptop for the first month or 2. I recommend looking for some M2 macs that are still for sale, compare the prices to similar specced M3 macs. That'll give you somewhat of an idea of what you can expect for the M3 to go for.

I have an M1 Max studio and it is a very very capable machine. I would recommend maybe picking up a used or refurb M1 to replace your iMac until the M4 studios come out. You. Will be amazed at the upgrade even with the M1.

FYI: VIP: this guy did a test and said that M1 chip runs faster than M2 or M3. I hope M4 is really going to be faster and better. This guy knows his Apple products and he did the testing and found that the M2 & M3 is not faster than M1. He was telling people don’t upgrade to M2 or M3 we are just wasting money.

Awesome Video! I am ready for September! I am definitely in the market for a new Apple Watch! I don’t upgrade my iPhone often. That is usually two or three years in between upgrades. I did purchase the iPad Pro M4 model a few weeks ago and I love it. However, my Apple Watch is telling me it needs to be upgraded right away so I might just purchase one of the current models. I don’t do a whole lot on my watch except for answer phone calls, text messages and check sports scores. However, I do wonder about water durability while in the swimming pool. That’s one thing I have not put my watch through is swimming in a swimming pool. I usually just take my watch off when I go into water.

I have trouble believing that Apple would do an M4 mini while the Studio and Pro are still sitting with the M2 Max and Ultra chips. At the same time I appreciate that they may simply not have enough M4 Max chips to meet the needs of the Studio and they may also just have nowhere near enough M4 Ultra chips to upgrade the Studio and the Pro lines. I also appreciate that they do make more money off laptops as they have more parts than just the CPU. But it still feels really weird from a marketing perspective. That said this tiny M4 Mac mini sounds very tempting. Part of me honestly might even be tempted to sell off my Studio and replace it with an M4 Mac mini. Now... do I think it'll perform much better than my Mac Studio? I dono I'd have to wait for the geek bench scores... but it'd be tiny! And cute!

Fair warning, Bloomberg reported that the Mac mini is expected to have a major redesign this year. Allegedly, the size is supposed to be very close to the Apple TV, albeit a little taller.

I bought a new M3 Air right when it came out for 1,099 and 2 months later it was already on sale for 899 at the same store. I sold it a few weeks ago cus it sucked. Other than Mac, I've been wrapped full on in the Apple ecosystem for over 10 years now and love it... but holy f*ck I'm never leaving Windows again. I never knew Mac OS could be so intricate that even closing an app is a 2 step process. Setting up CAC access was 1000x more difficult than on Windows, I kept getting notifications my 8GB of RAM was low while running simple tasks, and the display was awful. The only pros to the Mac were battery life and iMessage. I've also never seen a laptop that prone to fingerprints in my entire life.

I am waiting for the iPad mini to have more storage. I like the concept of the Mxx chip and oled display but really want the updated storage. I have lots of tutorials to watch on the updated Apple Ecosystem. I find iCloud too slow and too expensive and am tired of carrying around a 4TB SSD drive. I don't want to have to log into Wifi when at a restaurant or doctor's office.

Lossless is not possible with current Bluetooth technology. Sony has LDAC, which is the closest to lossless that you’re going to find because it’s support a bit rate of almost 1000 Mb. Apple’s current technology is a maximum of 256 Mb. I have been wishing for a long time that Apple would upgrade their Bluetooth technology.

From my understanding the M4 iPad Pro has 12GB of ram but 4GB of that is Disabled by apple so we only have 8GB for the iPads and probably MacBook Air will have 8GB also I believe when the MacBook does drop especially the MacBook pros probably will have 12GB of ram

Always love technology moving forward with M4. Thing is this normal who uses my Apple MacBook Air M1 chip with 8‑core CPU, 7‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine, 16GB unified memory, 2TB SSD storage for content consumption. I wonder what was so wrong with the M3 that they felt they needed to get rid of it in less than a year. I bought the M3 MacBook Air and it's very powerful and never get hot or even warm for my workflow, Illustrator/Photoshop, hardly ever video edit. I will be jealous of the M4 when it comes out though all the same. I'm having trouble imagining these AI features, after trying for years to get Siri to work properly I just can't imagine an interaction that works 9times out of 10 instead of 1 time out of 10, I bet you it won't be better than 9 times out of 10 which even then I'm sorry to say, would make it a pain to use. But like I said it's brand new and I can't imagine it, how I could use it for my every day workflow/life without it completely infuriating me like siri does right now. I appreciate how clever Siri is, and when she gets it right I'm amazed but for practical use I'm afraid she doesn't work for me, she's just a novelty. I do hope that changes. Is it the quality of the software of the quality of the microphones, my dentist or speech therapist, I don't know, she just hardly ever gets anything right. I don't want an upgrade, I want a revolution. That's what they are promising so let's see and keep our fingers crossed. ..... There you go, just tried using Siri right now, held down the microphone key on my M3 MacBook and asked her what time is it, not a hard question you would think, her little pretty coloured ball twisted around and then just disappeared without telling me. I did it again, she cut off early still not answering this simplest of questions. I thought have I got the microphone turned off, sound down?, have I done something wrong so I tried a third time, in precisely the same way I did before! and she just told me the time, clear as day! on the third attempt, I'm sitting in a quite room, I was deliberate with my instruction and it was third time lucky on the simplest question you could ask her. Aaaah!!
