Apple Studio Display - Worth It in 2024?

After using the Studio Display for a while now I have to admit it has it's flaws but those are easily outweighed, well at least for some people

I did get the base model also. Good point in the color grading part with the Nano Texture option. It doesn't quite make sense. When doing critical grading work, you should block off any windows or turn off unnecessary lights around you. The height adjustable stand is nice to have but with the steep price, you could skip it and be perfectly happy with the stand it comes with. Just put the monitor on top of a couple of books if you really need to adjust.

Great video, how’s the edges in terms of consistency? I’ve had monitors that sort of slightly dim in the corners.

No issues there for me. My unit seems to be very solid in terms of backlight consistency. ( I have heard other people say there’s are worse but again no issues for me)

@@gregtockner ah great. Thanks for your feedback on it. I’ve been considering getting it or an M3 iMac. I have a Mac Studio so weighing up whether it would be better to go for the larger display.

No the Mac Studio can’t handle that, It’s just too demanding
