Caveat: I haven't actually held both models, but my understanding is that the 2021 model incorporates many if not all of the improvements I've mentioned regarding the 2022 model. As is often the case with Apple, improvements between years are incremental at best. In a nutshell: No. Not enough has changed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

will the 3rd gen give better image quality if your tv supports hrd10+ and dolby vision compared to 1st gen?

So! I think the short answer to your question is no. Apple gets weird with naming, but if you have the 3rd Generation that they ever released, then it doesn't support HDR10 and dolby vision. Unless of course your TV was made by wizards, and can compensate for that fact. Again, because I want to be sure we're talking about the same model I've linked to the relevant wikipedia page.
