If you are very happy when you use it and then you're very happy when you take off, too.... doesn't it mean that they managed to make you happy pretty much ALL the time? Isn't that better than being happy when using it and craving for it and being unhappy when you're not? If this is really the way you feel, Apply might have just cracked the code, and they are really geniuses...

People walk around today with their heads constantly in their phones anyway. This device, as clumsy as it is, is the first step in pulling people’s heads out of their phone & pointing them at the rest of the world. Like the first iPhone, it sucks in countless ways (“ $600, with no keyboard, and no plan!?”, lol), but it has a little magic spark that will only get brighter. imo

I think the vision pro is best for those moments when you are by yourself and you just want the best home office / entertainment experience. I don't see this in social situations anytime soon. Maybe when it comes in the form factor of glasses

Def wont be a bunch of people wearing googles out in the streets. But we all expect this to get smaller and closer to glasses overtime. I do wear it though in the house even if my wife is there.

are the speaker in the Vision Pro really that good? Never saw anyone yet who was using the Airpods Pro instead of the build in speakers which i thought were still better

They are great but when you're alone in a room as they're about as loud to others as open-back headphones.

I want one. I’ll get one as soon as it’s for sale in my country. But I won’t be wearing it out of the house. I want it for media consumption, anywhere I want, at home. Maybe for some gaming and so. But walking around outside wearing it seems to be silly. We don’t need to go around with a desktop strapped to our faces.

VR development has been quite active for the past 10 years and headsets are still bulky. Don't expect them to shrink to the size of regular glasses any time soon.

I would never use one of these things in public. Other than the whole robbery thing, this thing is fatigue city too. It should be only used when you’re at home, or at your office. Just like how one shouldn’t take a MacBook to a bar, you wouldn’t take this there either.

I agree field of view is bad. It’s like you have great environment like Yosemite but can only look at it from binocular.🤣

We live in a world where people walking around have their phones in their hands and their heads downwards. As cool as this product looks, I feel this will further increase the lack of interaction between people. It’s a very antisocial device. Strange to say that about an Apple product bearing in mind their mission to “connect people”. The irony is real.

I think this is a step in the right direction vs phones in our pocket. Smaller format huds that replace all other devices is a good thing.

Tech people tend to think that more tech is the solution to all problems, just like how social media was a supposed solution for people to feel less lonely, but in reality it actually made people even lonelier. The vision pro and VR/AR headsets are great for work and games imo, but that's about it. I really can't see myself using this all the time, feels so dystopian
