"honest review", "trust me", "I'm not going to lie", or "to tell the truth" are all phrases that arouse immediate suspicion. Why would I not think you're telling me your unbiased opinion which is not colored by some funny business or payola?

Short answer -- KZbin-ification of titles. Long version, I got very tired of KZbinrs putting out these reviews after like 30 minutes with a product and just praising every bit about it. Or the frustrating "I QUIT iphone for Samsung!" variations that make their rounds. So years ago we started doing "honest" reviews that emphasized the honest, straightforward approach to reviewing the product. It's not all sunshine. Being an Apple channel, people expect a lot of bias and think that I just lick Apple's boot. But I've always gave my full opinions, good and bad. The Ultra 2 is a solid watch. I think the Action Button was a miss for me the last two years and I wish it had air integration and more depth for diving. Even still, I like the design of the titanium series 10 better.

Upgraded from AWS6 to AWU2. I’ve had it for a year. Overall I’ve been happy with it. The housing and screen have held up way better than my other Apple Watch. No scratches or scuffs so that’s a plus. Don’t think I’ll be buying a new Apple Watch anytime soon.

@@jamesmartin1895 battery life is great. Battery health is still at 100% after one year. I can usually get about three days before I have to charge it.

I use dubble tap to snooze my alarm clock in the morning 😊 love it! If I use my finger on the screen I’m worried I click the wrong button and turn the clock off. Love snoozing 😊

can you use the extra button on this watch as a stop watch feature? I'm looking into this Ultra 2 over the series 10 for the long battery life. Also I'm not familiar with smart watches. I've been using digital timex and Casio watches and use the stop watch feature at least once a day so easy access is important to me. The Casio/Timex digital watches have buttons with immediate access to stopwatch technology so I'm curious if you can program the extra button on the ultra 2 to be a stopwatch as stock.

I currently use a Suunto Core, and my favorite feature is the barometer-it alerts me to pressure drops, so I know a storm is coming without needing internet access. Can the Apple Watch Ultra do the same? If so, I’m ready to buy it now. If anyone knows please comment

There are 2 things that stop me from getting this. The square shaped display (just not for me, prefer a round one) and the battery life. I’ve been using Xiaomi S1 for almost 2 years now and both the design and battery are absolutely amazing. I just wish apple would take note of these things and start implementing them in their products.

I use the action button all the time. It’s set to my flashlight. And as for double tap, I also use it all the time to clear notification and scroll thru my smart stacks.

I’m still using a series 5. I’ve been eying the ultra 2 in the natural color since I’m worried about the black chipping away. Plus my series 5 is in the “space black” color and I’m wanting a change.

I kept my original Ultra because it has the Oxygen…I use it for tracking sleep. I have the Black coming today and can’t wait to put it on.

The Nicest bands for these Apple Watches that I have seen is the sports loop 2. Love all the colors they come in as well. Emulating Luxury Analog watch bands for digital watches looks terrible.

My Apple Watch Ultra 2 only loses 1-2 points per hour, so I average about 50 hours of battery! At that point, even with OCL, the battery will still last extremely long.

I have mixed feelings about doubletap. I used the diet version in Accessibility settings - "Quick Actions" - on my Series 7 for years, and now that I have an AWU2 with Double Tap I wish I could mix the two together. I love that I can use it to scroll apps and respond to texts, but I wish dismissing notifications was as simple as it was with Quick Actions. Now I have to double tap 4 or 5 times so it can scroll all the way through the notification before finally landing on the first button it comes to, then I'm at the mercy of whatever the first option is -- and it's not always "Dismiss." I get so frustrated with it that I end up manually dismissing it with my other hand. I wish I could change that behavior of it. Any tips?

Hi! I just came from your M3 vs M2 MacBook Air video and was wondering if you would suggest paying $700 for the M2 or $850 for the M3. Would the $150 difference be worth it? I’m a college student who spends most of their time web browsing and won’t use my MacBook for much else. Also, do you think 256 GB will be enough?

Get the m2 you’re in college the most cpu intensive thing you’ll do is what web browsing asking ChatGPT for help? Get the m2 save money and get yourself a nice lunch and school supplies. Right now Apple has the m2 with 16 ram that’s a great price and config for college students

I hope you get M2 with 16+ GB Ram. I use M2 for work (web+spreadsheet) and 8 ram is insufficient.

As a AWU user also being in land locked Ohio, there pretty much is only pools or those lakes to dive into. But overall the watch sells itself, I work at a Best Buy and it seems to be our top seller #2 being the SE. I picked up one yesterday to see what the buzz was about and its amazing

The ultra Modular is my go-to face. I do change faces regularly, depending how casual I want to be and complications I need at the time. I LOVE the action button. I frequently time things. Starting the stopwatch with a single touch makes it just a little more convenient! At this point I have no interest in upgrading from my Ultra 1. Whenever the pulse ox function is available on newer generation Ultras, I will probably upgrade. I was also excited about diving with the Ultra. I also live in OH, so diving is tougher from here.

I’m walking to Mt Everest next year and I going to be using my Ultra for lots of its functions especially the blood oxygen and the only thing is concerning me is battery life as I will be there for 4 weeks in all in Nepal and charging that and my iPhone and how many anker packs am I going to take lol

Maybe buy a small portable solar panel to charge the anker packs and then carry less of them.

I can’t do a single push-up without the ultra 2 watch wanting to call the police thus i take the watch off during my workouts.. This defeats the purpose of purchasing the most expensive watch apple has to offer. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I use double-tap all the time. I’m a runner and when my fingers get sweaty I can’t touch the screen.

The black ultra 2 looks fantastic but it's not as practical as the titanium colour version I run,I do love my ultra 2 but my 42mm series 10 in shiny black feels so much better to wear it's way lighter and less vulnerable to knocks,and charges so much faster.

I’ve worn mine everyday for slightly over a year and just hit 99 percent. Very impressed with it even use it as a main phone every now and then.

during your audio test you should try to replicate the experience youre describing to the viewers, if you say the speakers are loud enough on your wrist while working in the coop, then show us :) none of us know how loud that specific environment is. plus putting the mic so close to the watch in a perfect recording environment is great for letting us hear the speakers quality but it doesnt tell use how loud the audio actually is since youre removing as much ambiance as possible doing that & youre not using a decibel meter for compensation there's literally no reference to let us know how loud the speakers are. youre showing us perceived loudness & in this situation the Apple Watch is perceived to be as loud as my MacBook speakers can allow it to get which I assume to be incorrect.. there's nothing to tell me its objective loudness.. with best regards! "the listener knows nothing you know, make their first experience as hand holdingly as possible. make sure everything youre bringing up does get across" thats a little word of wisdom that helps make songs connect with people more it may help with these type of videos

Lovely looking watch, Pretty useless battery life for expeditions or away from the wall 2+ days activities. Should have had solar with at least a month+ battery life like Garmin and Suunto offerings.

Double tap is very important to me now! Apple Watch is a device that is most useful when you can just raise your watch hand and nothing else - see notification and now double tap. Can’t go back!!

If you have to put an Apple product on layaway, or do payments, you do not need to be buying Apple products. But do you. I can walk in an Apple store and walk out after paying for any product in full. That's why I own Apple products. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

Especially since Xmas is coming up soon which requires even more shopping. So if you’re rich, good for you! But I don’t need for anyone to tell me how to spend my money. You did not point out the number one feature that I have always had on my high end watches that I have owned in the past that have cost more than any of the Apple Watch models. The Sapphire Crystal face. At this time I own a Apple Watch 6 and have purchased third party Smiling 2 Pack Case Built in Tempered Glass Screen Protector to protect it ever since I had a big gouge on the screen of my previous Apple Watch. Have an Apple Watch 6 with the O2 monitoring. Do not see myself moving to another Apple Watch until more health monitoring options are brought forward with the new model along with restoring O2 monitoring.

That's true. It's something that I kind of take for granted because I've never used one without the sapphire. Cause I would get the stainless models which always had it!
