I've invested a lot of money and time and effort into my etsy shop, and it's been running for nearly five months now, and I have yet to make a single sale. It's forced me to go look for work in the "real world", and I couldn't be sadder about it :( But I'm so happy to hear about others and their success! I'm rooting for you all

I used Etsy recently to sell all of the handmade knitted plushies my mom wanted me to sell. It took several months before one even sold and then another two to sell the rest. My shop is on a break as I decide rather or not to open my own but selling what I wanted. And by the way your stuff is so adorable! Your reasons for leaving are good too. One of my friends runs an Etsy Shop, but she's thinking of doing thr same.

if you want to try more bold, colorful liners, you should try out wet liners! they're super vibrant & pigmented. i get mine from glisten cosmetics :D they're basically pots of pigment that get activated by water...kind of like watercolor but the finish is like acrylic SO I GUESS LIKE GOUACHE LOL

I am VERY happy you took the desicion of leaving. We are a small shop in Central America struggling we opened the shop. We NEVER got indexed in a month of phonecalls, tickets and emails NO ONE helped us. The sales we made were from direct reference and they charged us a bunch of stuff anyways, gain was minimal. We moved to Shopify and could not be happier. Anyway we were generating our own leads. Horrible experience with Etsy I even canceled my account for good!!!

Be careful on Etsy with copyright infringement, fan art gets taken down by Etsy. Congrats on going for your own website!!!

Yes, it is illegal to sell fan art anywhere. Those who have those items taken down by Etsy but keep doing it can have their shop closed and their right to ever have a shop on Etsy revoked. Selling on Etsy or anywhere else can lead to being sued by the owner(s) of the licensed characters. Yeah, "everybody" does it; they just haven't been caught yet.

Congrats on leaving Etsy! I will just say though that in my limited experience, fanart on etsy is a no-no. Majority of my products are fan art and all of them were reported and taken down soon after listing them. I’m so so so happy for you!

Have you had your vitamin D checked or B6/B12's? I was also tired often after eating and tired easily. Then I found out my D level was SO low that I had to take two 2,000 IU units of D3 a day for almost a month. After a few days I felt so much better. And now I only need 1,000 iu's like once a week.
