I think that both Drake and Kendrick identifying with Michael Jackson and Prince are quite interesting. Michael was a bigger artist and pretty much dropped consistently, like Drake, where as Prince cared more about artistry and only put out music when he felt like it, like Kendrick.
@TubeWatcher6 ай бұрын
I don't think you know what you're talking about. MJ dropped about 10 studio albums. Prince had 35+ studio albums (not including compilation albums of older songs) Prince was label hoping for minute. MJ was under contract and recorded recycled old music, at the end, when he was getting out from under Sony Records. Prince was always dropping records. MJ didn't need to because he was sitting back collecting royalties from the Beatles songs/masters he was holding on to. You had it backwards.

@@TubeWatcher accurate, but I get dude's point of MJ being bigger commercially and more renown while Prince was the recluse/maverick. MJ in studio was genius, engineers and producers attest to it. Pusha T had a line on his (2022) song "Dreaming Of The Past" where he says 'you see the Top 5, I see the Top Me' - if Kendrick's Big 3 line is an allusion to Push's line (easily could have just been coincidence), that would mean he in some way shouts out E40, Andre 3K, Eminem/Melly Mel, AND Pusha T (all great MC's) in a verse called 'Like that" where thematically Future and Kendrick are saying Drake (and J. Cole) are not Like that. This is similar to First person Shooter where only two of the Big 3 are present- so it's grouping by exclusion. Pure diabolical. So many layers to this song. Side-note, if Cole wants to ever be considered the GOAT- he has to go after Drake and Kendrick which makes it strategically and lyrically difficult.

@@Ekim2F94 i just feel she needs to be able to get her thoughts out without interruption & men tend 2 over-talk women in a conversational space .. it would be nice to hear her takes uninterrupted. Everyday Struggle was GREAT, but even then she was only a mediator. 🤷🏾♀️

Drake should keep people in suspense till his next album release, his first week sale might surpass 500,000 copies but a Cole and Drake joint album will be CRAZYYYYY...

What's so funny is how Low speaks with so much conviction as if he's talking to Drake 😂. He really thinks Drake cares about his opinion and is gonna listen to him talking about Drake HAS TO RESPOND. Or him being convinced that Megan can outrap Nicki Minaj 😂😂. The only reason why that pusha T diss made noise was because he exposed Adonis. Duppy freestyle was better in terms of bars.

I've been saying the same thing about duppy freestyle for years 💯

@@bigmacattack4201994 they don't want to admit that though 😂. I wonder what drake did to him for him to be this pressed about him. He said Nicki blocked him because he called her music Trash in 2020 😂. Imagine disrespecting someone while she's pregnant and instead of calling you out she just blocks you then you proceed to undermine her

I like Drake for his lane. J. Cole bars up, but really can lay in the cut like Neosporin. When K Dot(not Kendrick) comes out, Drake better be prepared. Cause K Dot be "Smokin on your top five tonight"....

Mcs can diss Drake but he wont make a diss verse or a diss song response. Hes gonna talk in concerts, make social media posts & maybe sub lines ..Kendrick broke the internet & the whole game , It was mostly the same autotune trap music until K dropped that verse. He brought a little excitement back in the game regardless how drizzy & Cole reply

Man, honestly im a huge fan to all 3! But if im being transparent to the real world, streetz included, i believe Kendrick will take the trophy on this battle considering upbringings and geography where he's from. Living in the Babylons of LA & going to the top gives people like me hope that we got a chance. & i personally dont believe the other two really come close to that. The LAnd is the LAnd for a reason. I say that with Love n respect. Hope i dont get bashed for my truth.

I’m personally rocking with KDot in this battle, but people need to respect Drake. He is no slouch. He’s going to bring it. This isn’t just gonna be a walk in the park for Kendrick. Also it’s funny how after all the work Cole put in over last 3-4 years, one Kendrick verse put him right back in 3rd place 😂 Kendrick is a different animal.

Joyner was clearly being modest, he's smart. Nobody can tell me what other artists do better than him rap wise. The thing is Joyner knowns his lane and he knows that peoples opinion no matter what will be based on their fan bases. For example, go back and listen to War Pain and Wanna Know now that the hype is down, lyrically meek killed drake but people said drake won because of his fan base. I respect Joyner for self observing, but he's also said that he's better than everyone in the past but now he knows the game more that he's actually in it. Also if you're going to say you'd allow Big Sean to be part of the top conversation WALE also checks every box as well.
