Applying DQuartz GForce Glass Coating

Dquartz GForce is the newest glass coating from CarPro. It has replaced FlyByForte. GForce uses similar chemistry as DQuartz Go. GForce is designed to handle wiper abrasion and can be applied to polished or unpolished glass.

It looks promising so far. It seems to have stayed the cleanest out of the three after a light storm.

Just applied it this weekend on my Outback Wilderness. Did the windshield, sunroof and all windows, including the rear. The 10ml bottle was juuuust enough for 1 coat with 2-3 drops to spare. I was using a block and suede applicator, at roughly 68F ambient. There's a decent amount of glass on that car, but if you have a Tesla with the huge glass roof or working in warmer temps, you might need a bigger bottle to coat all the glass.

Thanks for the feedback. The little bottle went a long way for you. If I was doing a Tesla I would just use the paint coating on that area and save the glass coating for the front glass or wherever this a wiper.

Wow really just enough? Is it a panoramic glass sunroof on your outback? Seems crazy 10ml is only just enough for 1 coat.

@@user-vm9ew6nz1r Regular sunroof. I think you're meant to use this on the windshield only. In retrospect, I would do 2 coats on the windshield, 1 on the rear hatch, and the side windows I would just use a regular coating

Can’t wait for your test! I spill coatings all the time too after shaking and opening it up. 🤣 What helped me was opening up the coating first to release the air pressure close up and shake again. Had coating hit my eye was not fun 😅😅

This kind of solvent and application appear similar to DPT. Hopefully it works better. Well, hopefully it has a better sliding angle I mean. Diamond Glass is very very durable.

Great video. Have you tried Glaco for glass? They also have a kit you can get to prep glass for any coating i think. I am leaning strongly towards trying DQuartz for the paint and may as well match it with this for windshield. Though i am slightly leaning towards Gyeon as well.

Thanks. I have not used Glaco at all. I hear good things about it. I will eventually get to it. So far this glass coating did well with the rain that passed through here in the beginning of the year in Southern California. I can't comment on Gyeon's glass coating as I have never used it and I believe they have a new Evo version for it and also quick view which I have not used either.

How do you choose between what glass polish to use? I know you’ve tried and reviewed the new Dr Beasley GL. How do it compare to Mckee’s?

Well the benefit of Dr. Beasley’s is no need for a panel wipe when going to coating route. McKee’s works good and is easier to wipe off than Dr. Beasley’s. McKee’s wont remove scratches in glass. Dr. b’s will.

Hey Mike! Will a 10 ml bottle do 2 coats on the windshield, as well as each window? Have a truck coming up and unsure if I need the 10 or the 50 ml bottle. Thanks!

Hey. A little does go a long way so yes you can 2 layers with this suze bottle. You won't need 2 layers on the sides or rear as those do not see wiper abrasion. I would recommend claying and polishing the glass and do one layer all the way around.

It has been years since I have used rainx. It does what it is supposed to do that is for sure.

@KiaTia09 true. If looking for something long term then rainx is not the answer. Short term it works well and in areas where it does not rain that often.

Hopefully it’s a nicer experience than their capro go paintwork coating which was horrible . Grabby removal with very average gloss & finish . Overpriced garbage

I understand you did not enjoy the application process of Dquartz Go but that does not mean it is "overpriced garbage". Everyone's situation is different when it comes to finding the right product. Reach out to CarPro and let them know you did not like it and see if they will refund you.

@@MikeGDetailingam only being honest & genuine . The coating is a massively disappointing with an awful application involved. The overpriced part is fair tbh especially considering is considerably more expensive than cq Uk & sic . Yeah refund is the only option & I will be doing a honest review & video of it to warn people of it

I had no issue with Carpro go. It was super easy to apply and the easiest coating to apply. You could have done something wrong like let it sit too long or worked in too much heat.

@@lukeskywalker2013no I didn’t use in heat. It’s winter here in fact & I removed after 5 mins like Carpro recommend!! Definitely not the easiest coating to use & one of the most tacky to level especially on soft black paintwork with next to no slickness whatsoever . Gloss & finish was piss poor too tbh & definitely doesn’t warrant the extra cost over there other retail coatings . Massive disappointment mediocre quality coating with many better options on the market
