Really good video again Mark. That has got to be my number one protection, I had it on the Audi all last year and it kept the car clean and protected all year with occasional applications of Sigma as my sacrificial layer. When I look at all my favourite products on the shelf most of them have GT on the bottle

I'm heading that way myself Martin, hard to fault any of GT's products and the range is getting bigger and bigger. For such a new brand they really are showing up the establishment and moving the goalposts! Long may it continue.

Great video Mark, superb finish and shine on the car, I really must treat myself to some CS to go with my Sigma, I'm already amazed at how long that stuff stays slick for. Also where did you get the microfibre applicator from? Had a little chuckle at the point where you covered your a$$ crack as I thought just before it "blimey nearly saw next week's washing"! 🤣

Brilliant video Mark, the GT products work so well together, I've noticed when the car has been washed with GT shampoo and having previously been coated with 3cs and sigma, the drying towel glides effortlessly. As I'm now getting low on most of the GT products I'm now going large on sizes. Like some others on here,the shelves are full of other brands that haven't been touched in many many months. Looking forward to the sigma video.

Thank you Mike. Agreed, Sigma is just an incredibly slick product, both to use and even for weeks afterwards! Can't wait to get it on the car! 👍🏼

Brilliant, really enjoyed your video as always, well made. Feel guilty now as I haven't cleaned my car this weekend, 😧. I've been using most of the GT range for a while now, Inc 3CS. They are currently unbeatable imo. A great British brand pushing the boundaries and only launching a product once it's at the head of it's field!

Excellent job Mark. What gsm were the towels you used? I think you forgot to leave the links. Cheers 👍🏴
@SparkleanAutos3 жыл бұрын
Well spotted Kinnon you past my secret test 😬🤦🏻♂️ Link added now but FYI, the low pile ones are 320 and the edgless buffing ones are 380... I think 🤔
@kinnonmcallister3 жыл бұрын
@@SparkleanAutos Thanks for the reply. Yeah I thought that the first one was 300GSM that's what I use for spreading the product and as the cloth gets more damp you need less product. I would buff off with an 850gsm Faireach Towels from Amazon. And then finally go round the car with 1200gsm Glart Towels also from Amazon. And for my party piece I grab the 1200gsm towel 40x40 on the bonnet and spin it with a quick flick of the wrist so it does 4 or 5 revolutions on its own. Brilliant way of showing folk the slickness of the paint. I always use GT SIGMA as my LSP now as I am astounded by the properties of it. Spent 100s on products in the last 10 years but now I will never buy another paint Sealant. Incidentally the towels I mentioned above are superb quality. My Glart ones are 10 years old and look like brand new. 👌🏴
@SparkleanAutos3 жыл бұрын
I know the ones you mean, I actually use those Glart towels for drying my wheels off lol. To be honest I find 380-500 more than enough for buffing off products, maybe it just suits my technique but if we all did everything the same way there wouldn't be much need for KZbin or discussion groups 🤣 I'll definitely give that a try going forward and see if it makes a difference to my process 👍🏼👍🏼
@kinnonmcallister3 жыл бұрын
@@SparkleanAutos Jesus.. Lol. My whole family and my mates have the 1200gsm Glart Towels and nobody uses them on the wheels 🤷♂️😂 They are about a fiver each. You must have to much money.. Lol. Yeah I agree whatever works best for you. I also have 480 gsm and 500 gsm. So I don't always go with the 850gsm on other folks cars. But I always go round with the 1200gsm because as a final buff on the Sigma it takes only a few extra minutes and it gives you a buzz. First time I went to do a door with final buff. I almost face planted myself on the ground because the paint was so slick.. Lol. When I say buff with the final towel I don't use barely any pressure I just let it glide under its own weight. Really looking forward to your next video Mark. 👍🏴🚗

Gloss black wheels take a lot of care so £5 for a specific towel is well worth it to me 🤣 The Sigma video should be uploaded within a couple of weeks, might fill the gap with a few shorter videos in between 👍🏼👍🏼

Hey bro, just a question could you have put a wax on top of the CS even though it had a polish also.
@SparkleanAutos29 күн бұрын
Hi Adrian, apologies for the delay. Technically there is no reason you couldn't apply a wax on top of the CS, provided you give it sufficient time to cure (ideally 24 hours in dry conditions if possible - this may be overkill but if possible it would give the product a better chance to reach its maximum potential!) Personally I'm not a fan of layering different types of protection, largely because I just feel it's a waste of time, money and effort. If you prep the paintwork as good as you can - chemical decontamination AND a good polish - then a product like CS will last for months and then be easily reapplied 4-5 months later... But like I say, there is no technical reason you couldn't apply a wax over it, once the CS (or any other protection) has been given time to fully cure 👍🏼

Hi Mark. I've just bought some GT Cs for winter prep so could I use an AIO or Poorboys black hole or do you have to use pure polish then panel wipe for best results. Cheers pal
@SparkleanAutos2 жыл бұрын
Hi James - for best results your always better with an abrasive polish and panel wipe but that's not to say using and AIO and then sealing the fillers in with CS wouldn't give you good results, the issue would be the durability - the CS would be bonded to the AIO and as it breaks down, so would the protection... Whereas with a proper polish to remove the swirls and then a panel wipe to remove polishing oils etc., The CS would then bond to the paintwork, therefore last longer!! I hope that clarifies it and I haven't made it even more confusing?! Basically both options work, but it's finding a balance between how much time you have to put into it Vs how good the results are and how long you want results to last!
