John, I love your videos and have learned alot from you. I recently PPF'ed my car from my detailing guy and I asked him for something to maintain the car while not being heavy on the pocket as the PPF was quite expensive. He handed me a big bottle of GYEON Ceramic Detailer but I never used it as I thought it might not be that good and he just upselled me this bottle but after watching your video, I think he did me solid there.

I only have experience with Adam's and I've used it wet AND dry and I'm actually on my 2nd bottle since spring, same for Adam's CS3. Speaking of CS3, that's the one you would use if the car is slightly dusty, yet it leaves protection as well🛎😉

From personal experience, I can say that Gyeon stuff tends to be on the pricey side (here in America, anyway), but it's pretty much always top of class in whatever category you're talking about. Their Wetcoat might still be my single favourite auto detailing product, period, in terms of how well it does what it claims to, ease of use, just everything. They really know their stuff.

I find myself coming back to your comparison videos even though I have seen them multiple times. Great videos. So in Australia, gyeon + Adams are both roughly the same price. Gyeon feels incredibly slick to me. But I found Adams as a drying aid or detail spray looked better in my black paint. The paint had alot more depth and was darker. Gyeon wasn't. Other than. That, they were exactly the same. That's my experience.

The Adam’s is a great clay lube with rinseless. Rather than using solvents like the coatings it uses a heavier surfactant that does lay down thick. Have had no issues with marring or it getting in the way with the process. Such a good product in all conditions and a little goes a long way.

I'm a big fan of GT range. Minor issue I have in the test is that there is actually a QD option which would 'make up' the points that Sigma lost... But then you have to draw a line somewhere with these tests and pick the one that covers most bases I suppose. I've only ever used Sigma and the QD as top ups for their ceramic sealant (/THREE: CS) - the QD weekly, and Sigma every 6-8 weeks. I do understand though that that means having 2 bottles/products... All subjective, as you say Jon, but the Gyeon range does look good too 👍🏼👍🏼
@patrickvennard8383 жыл бұрын
I think GT Sigma is not a QD and Maz will say if you want a QD, buy their Two QD which is an excellent drying aid and has a great bulk price. I think Sigma is really glossy the next day as well, a great video as ever.

I sprayed Garage Therapy Slash Two Colon Sigma all over my bright red Honda S2000 to top up the 2 week old Bilt Hamber Laboratories Finis Wax LSP product that I applied 2 weeks ago. The finish on the bodywork, wing mirrors, bumpers and alloys is even more vibrant than it was 2 weeks ago when I applied the Finis Wax, which is, to start with, a very glossy product. I'm too terrified to use these on the windows however. The Meg-Wires Perfect Clarity Glass Sealant took care of those.

tried a few ceramic spray sealants, but they all take fucking forever to apply. I pay by the minute in my wash hall so to spend 20 mins properly applying a spray sealant is like three quids extra time wise. went back to only using autoglymn polar seal since a while, takes exactly 3 extra minutes with my foam Lance and it gets a nice layer all over the car and all nooks and crannies, tyres, rims, windows, hard to reach area on roof. would never be able to tell two ceramic coatings apart so if it's applied faster it's the winner in my book. just a taught. great video as always, cheers

Another interesting video Jon 👍🏻 I have few thoughts, I'm wondering thelat the GT Sigma is kinda at a disadvantage because it's not really a QD, it's in the middle of a Ceramic Sealant and a QD, they do have a QD but not sure it's got any Ceramic properties, also I'd like to know what the gloss results are after 24hrs of curing as the Sigma seems to make the colour on the car really pop after curing, especially if you've applied 2 coats, I do like the Gyeon one tho, as for the In2Detailing one, I suppose if you're using it on a car regularly and can get it cheap enough then it's ok. 👍🏻
@GarageTherapyOfficial3 жыл бұрын
Hi, We do not classify Sigma as a QD and thus have tuned the product to be a topper to our existing product within the GT system. Sigma main aim is to give real depth of gloss, slickness and protective qualities. As such other areas such as hydrophobic behaviour is less important than the other metrics we are concentrating on.

@MeliorIlle2 жыл бұрын
Gyeon says that because they are being honest and don't want people to mess up their paint. If you are using a quick detailer to "quick wash" or wipe dust off your car, you are marring your paint and ruining your finish. No detailer has enough slickness to remove dust and dirt without swirling the paint.

Throw out the gloss numbers. To the human eye they’re all the same. Been scientifically proven the human eye can’t tell the difference in 5 +/- gloss units. In other words even if one was 95 and the other was 91 the human eye can’t tell the difference. So my point is I value ease of use/water beading/slickness in that order. Great video.

I don't believe in ceramic quick detailers. it looks to be just diluted sio2 wax or sealants sold as separate products to increase revenue. ... so that's what I do. I use AM Details Hybrid ceramic spray or Groits 3 in 1 ceramic diluted with di water 5 to 1 in a separate bottle labeled detailer. they both are excellent stand alone protectants as well as drying aides anyway but don't need to be applied full strength every wash. so diluted they work wonders and provide lubricity. a great way to remove very light dust using damp microfiber. I just mist it on wet surface after my contact wash and rinse. then reapply full strength when or if protection fades or if im doing a complete decon. but I really believe most of these detail sprays are the mfgs diluted versions of their main protectant. so it seems.

The value for money is pointless, an awful product could get 10 points due to cost. Rant over!

we will always compare price so those that are interested in it can factor it, those that are not can disregard it. Its never pointless how much something costs relative to other products, yes a shit product can do well on the price comparison but it will get routed out later on. You have other guys saying its pointless to compare gloss etc.. others say beading is pointless dont compare this etc.. and value for money is obviously not pointless. jesus if I didnt include price comparison I would get crucified and rightly so.
