For me, discovering bluegrass far into my 20's, this approach is much more suitable. Love the music theory explanations of the sounds and feelings I love in music!

Thx for the comment! Some of my students that didn't start playing untill in there 50s were especially encouraged after learning this and a few even started going to jam sessions after the fact!

This is great. I’m off to the woodshed after I say a prayer for all those people dying in coal mines.

I remember Alan Munde saying he could play in two modes at once. He called it playing in the co-mode. Great video Wayne!

Hot dang. That's a crisp, poppy-sounding mandolin there buddy. Excellent tutorial and sassy/glassy slides all over the place. Solid.

Real good teaching and method lesson. Do a video about creating tunes through the chord arpeggios of the song for melody, Wayne.

Thanks Wayne. Love that minor sound in "bluegrass" Gives it a different flavor altogether.

Yep. A lotta bluegrass songs work this way even if they're not technically in a minor key.

I watched a video of Our Last Goodbye. What were you playing before your break? I am trying to develop my rhythm/accompaniment playing also. Thoughts?

I'd like to hear what that sounds like over chords just as a sample to get the feel of that "not so happy sound"
