Hello Lexi, that’s so sad what happened to ur friend’s son. It’s amazing that they are able to be so courageous about it. We do tend to take things for granted until we don’t have it anymore don’t we? I hope u’ve been well otherwise? And how ur finding TRE if u started? It looks really cold where u r! No snow here and no rain, yay!

It is sad, and so hard, but he really is doing amazingly well, considering. He just went to a dance and was all smiles in the pictures. It’s pretty warm here too! Well, the 40s, which is warmer than it was! But we are getting some sunshine so yea for that! I’m finishing my last week of 4:3 and starting TRE next week! I’m excited and a bit nervous of how it will go. I’m also thinking sugar has just snuck into my life a bit too much so that’s something I’ll work on during that time. 😵‍💫 How about you’d how are things going other than being delightfully rain and Snow free? 🤩

@@MomFasting sounds like an amazing guy! Goodluck for TRE next week, u might enjoy it 😄 I do think eventually it’s good to learn how to eat well/moderately if u know what I mean, so it’s good to practise. I’ve been ok, second fast day for this week right now. It’s physically easier this week compare to last week, but mentally I want to eat more 😅 Do u find ur body is more fat adapted when u do 4:3 compare to 5:2, since glycogen would have built up more on 5:2 schedule?

@@patriciawai4791 hmm interesting question, like fat adapted in the sense that fasting is easier? Maybe…it’s really hard to tell because fasts are often easier on Monday, and you’d think that’s when I would be least fat adapted because of coming off the weekend? So I guess I don’t have an answer, but I do find that now being on my 3rd week of 4:3 in a row, my fasts have been easier this week than they have been, but mentally I’m still ready for a change. It’s such a dance between the mental and physical side. And side note, this is the week before my period so my fasts *should* be harder. 🤔

@@MomFasting yes fat adapted in the sense that fasting is easier. I’m also on my third week of 4:3 in a row and found from last Friday fast, it became easier. And I don’t remember feeling this way when I did 5:2 for 10 weeks before Xmas. I guess there are so many variables at play too so it could be something else 🤷🏻‍♀️ because I also remember us saying third fast is normally the hardest back in my ADF days
