I remember when I started my first 36 hour fast; by 11am my brain started giving me "words of wisdom" and "comforting words" like fish and chips, chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu. Then it took me to the pantry and "look at all this delicious food" and then it took me to the 'fridge "look, there's a drink you can have there, Bailey's Irish Cream". I managed to get through it though

Congrats on your progress! Do you think your kidney stone was related to the ADF?
@MomFastingАй бұрын
@@jessicaT12345 no, I think my kidney stone was mostly related to dry fasting too much, and also eating lots of high oxalate foods when I did keto. Kidney stones can develop for months or even years before they pass, so it’s really hard to pinpoint.

@MomFastingАй бұрын
@@surinderkaur7135 hair loss can be due to a number of things. If you jump into adf too quickly and your body perceives this as a stress, your hair may fall out to some degree. This is typically temporary. But everyone is different. I did not have hair loss when I began ADF, but I had been fasting for about 5 months prior to that. I hope you find what works for you. 🙏🏻

Do flavored sparkling waters (like La croix) affect or break your fast?
@MomFasting5 ай бұрын
Some people don’t believe so, others do. It may be totally individual. But the theory is that it triggers an insulin response. Many people, including myself, find it easier to go without anything flavored.

I love ADF. I started it last year and dropped from 232 down to 195 within a few months. 190-195 is my ideal weight so now it’s not about losing anymore weight…but rather not having to think about it. I don’t consider it a diet it’s just my life now. I fast Mon/Wed/Fri. I eat normally Tuesday/Tuesday. And on the weekends I eat whatever I want and enjoy my beer. And it simply allows me to stay right where I want to be. In fact after my weekends of BBQn what I want and drinking beer I look forward to my Monday fasts now.

Nice detailed info….thanks Have one question…do you do ADF even in period cycle time?
@MomFasting7 ай бұрын
Hello. So, I haven’t done ADF in a year due to personal life stresses, but when I did for 3.5 years, I personally did usually fast during my cycle (or the week before is when it’s usually recommended not to), but I always held the option not to if I felt like I shouldn’t. I did experiment at times with not fasting that week, and I always felt worse. So I think it’s really a highly personal decision and may depend on your age as well, and definitely on whether someone is trying to conceive. I hope you find what works best for you. 🙏🏻🩵
