I would really love to have the pdf of the slide deck if that is possible! This is amazing information for someone like myself - feel like the ground has disappeared beneath my feet - my neuro has given me zero information and doesn't seem to care :/

@@harmcity9934 sorry to hear :/ even though it has only been about 6 months since my official diagnosis it still feels gut-wrenching, can't believe that I will now be thinking about this for the rest of my life. Hope you are doing well. Fighting it as best we can is all we can do I suppose.

That's very interesting that data was more positive for omega 6 fats, but it makes sense, because arachidonic acid produces 2 hormones, prostacyclin and PGE2, that repair myelin! So, a low carb and high fat diet (ketogenic), which is high in arachidonic acid, would probably be very helpful. Arachidonic acid is only in animal fat, mostly in liver, dark poultry meat, pork, and egg yolks. But nuts, peanut butter, chocolate, and seeds feed viruses like EBV, because they're very high in arginine, as opposed to lysine, which is also needed for repairing myelin. A low carb/high fat diet is like intermittent fasting, basically fasting from carbs, so you also lose weight and generate SCFA's, which are ketones, especially if you eat a lot of butter, which contains butyrate. This kind of diet is also good for detoxification of the the solvents that have been linked to MS.

Was diagnosed 5 weeks ago, still to choose a DMT - hope Ocrevus or Mavenclad - how do you obtain propionate naturally? (42:10) A ~70% reduction in relapse rate is almost like a highly effective DMT!

Exactly how are mice "getting" MS? It suggests we know what causes it.
@joantendler6518

I think it's pretty well established that exposure to solvents like trichloroethylene causes it by basically dissolving the myelin. Researchers induce it in mice by injecting them with fragments of myelin as well as something to over-stimulate the immune system. So, an over-stimulated immune system begins to react to the myelin fragments, instead of being able to repair it, so an autoimmune condition develops. Trichloroethylene has been shown to cause the kind of vision problems and facial palsy, slurred speech, and difficulty in walking that happens with MS. Do you know if you've ever been exposed to trichloroethylene, or other solvents?
