In the suffocating grip of uncertainty, lost amid the echoing shadows of change and the burden of decisions, I stand at the edge of a precipice, where the road forks into the yawning chasm of oblivion, and the choices I face are shrouded in darkness, yet in this desolate moment of isolation, I confront the bleak reality of solitude and the haunting specter of doubt, for within the turning point, I am alone, grappling with the sinister whispers of fate and the chilling realization that the path ahead may lead only to further darkness. (I like it!)

Well done Rick! Man, you make me want to delve deeper into the 2600! It has a really rich and saturated sound! Excellent production! 🚀

Maurizio 🤩 Thank you! Oh I think you should look at the 2600 some more. You’d do a great job of using it! Thanks for the complement on the production too… yes it’s built in preamp sounds great… I’m still learning to use most of the modules inside it… and don’t understand quite a bit of it but I’m ok with that as it’s a adventure of discovery…

WoW! What a deep dark journey, enjoyed every minute... I have to admit tho the only 2600 I'm familiar with is Atari lol 😛 Combined with the Hydrasynth you got some sick sounds out of it! Great video too, I even learned a few things...

Hi mate! 😃🙏🏻💯 Thank you so much for watching this one and I’m genuinely really happy that you liked it so much! Hahaha 🤣 is that the Atari with the massive cartridge that went into the top of it. Early 80’s was it? Me and my brother used to game in a BBC Micro back then… That’s ace that you enjoyed the text I usually add! 🙏🏻 thanks mate… ohh if you liked that then you’re so gonna like some of the others and every two weeks now, I upload a video on Fridays at 5:30pm UK time… and the next is tomorrow! I hope you’ll check it out mate… nice and dark! Where are you based by the way?

@@rickhopkinson Hey Rick, haha yes Atari is the one with the massive cartridge on top! Yep, early 80s... I am definitely going to check them out one by one trust me. Dark ambient shite is my thing too, and I am looking forward into creating in that genre also. Your vids & music are inspiring, keep 'em coming! Will be checking out your Friday shows too mate for sure... So I live in Orlando but I grew up in Brighton believe it or not! Went to nursery there too, and tho I have been in the US much longer, I like to pretend I'm still a cool Brit lol. Great meeting you on here! Cheers, Sonny

@@cozm8 Hey up Sonny! 👍💯 Yes this is very cool to meet and chat with you on here and yeah you definitely had a British vibe about you I’d say… how’s life in Orlando? I’ve been there for one week in 1998 on holiday and then went to Sarasota for a week then back to sunny Halifax in West Yorkshire, Calderdale ☀️😂🌧️. Oh thanks mate that’s really ace to hear my vids are inspiring 🙏🏻 and I definitely will keep them coming. One every fortnight gives me time to do it and plan stuff enough and not rush too much. I’m still working a 9-5 job but the dream (like many) is to do this full time. I’m committed to being consistent since September and going strong so happy days. Great to meet you mate, let’s keep in touch! 💎👌💯

@@rickhopkinson Hey now, Orlando in '98 was a global hot spot in the electronic music/rave scene, you visited at the best time mate lol. Sarasota is awesome, seems like you had a great trip. If you're ever back in these parts you have a place to chill anytime brother! Oh, and you made my day saying I have a British vibe... 😎 We are on a similar path, I have a regular mundane job but anything music related full time is a dream indeed. Keep going strong, will try my best to keep you motivated as well.... Will def keep in touch & awesome to meet you too mate!

Yeah I agree we’re on a similar path and I’m well up for us supporting each other moving forward and treating this as a long game marathon. Yeah my job is a means to pay etc so we both have a musical dream don’t we! Yep awesome mate 🙏🏻💯👌 Great to meet you and we will definitely stay in touch 😉

Thank you so much Brad!🙏🏻 Yeah I’m definitely hooked and love doing it. When I’m not I’m flapping 😂… yeah I’m liking the Hydra a lot, it’s nice and deep and I like that the most about the deeper synths… finding new things and ways to modulate etc… I’m very grateful for it that’s for sure.

Very cool... I've been thinking about selling my Yamaha MX88 that I pair with my Behringer 2600 and replacing it with the explorer ASM. I found your video by searching for that pairing. I like what you're doing Thank you! Jim.... Terra Transport 9x

@@jimtildenbrown2598 Hello Jim 😃👋 you are very welcome and thank you so much for visiting my channel it’s very much appreciated! 🙏🏻 I’m very glad you’ve found it 😃 and that you’re liking my work… Well mate I can definitely recommend the Hydrasynth… I love the Deluxe. It took me about 6 months to pay it off haha but good value for what you get. The explorer would be cool as well or even the middle ground with the Hydrasynth Keyboard. I’ve subbed to your channel by the way 😉

@@rickhopkinson Been considering an Hydrasynth.... AND an 2600. worked with one for a few weeks, decades ago... and the 2600 was crazy fun. Hmmm.... Then again... vacation... LOL! But Hydrasynth looks like a beast of fun for decades.
@rickhopkinson
@rickhopkinson 4 ай бұрын
@@antfactor Ah well a vacation is always good for the soul isn’t it, but a Hydra is for life so… it’s a tough call. Between the hydra and the 2600 I’d say it’s hard to say which I prefer. Very different but they’re both my favourite synths. I can lose myself when sound designing on both equally well so it’s hard to suggest one over the other. You’ll already know the basics about them like no presets (2600) and what you see in the sliders is what you get… and the hydra is the opposite. Both awesome machines that I’m very grateful to have.

Hello, I don't know what path you used in Hydrasynth as the Mod inputs are modulation signals not audio ones. How can you lead Mod 1 input through Hydrasynth effects?

Hello there 🙂👋 Thank you for checking out my video, and welcome to my channel! Oh you had me thinking back then to remember how I did it, and I remembered which ASM video I watched to find out how to do it. At the time I'd heard it was doable and found this... kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5rIhXytmap0na8 If you follow what he does on here then it will work for you... Basically the audio is brought in via the Ring Mod... I hope this helps... Please let me know if you are successful with it either way! 🙂

@@rickhopkinson Thank you very much. I will try it and get back to inform you. Thanks. EDIT : Well, that works perfectly well. I tried it with a piece of music out of my smartphone. Then it goes through Effects module, just for the fun. What a fantastic instrument ! Thanks again.
