My opinion is Luka V4X sounds alot better. I think because when she sings her words dont cut off as soon, and her voice is way clearer than V2 but V2 is good too and sounds more powerful if that makes sense?

Comparison to both V2 and V4X (in my opinion and what my brain tells me) V2: it’s quite choppy and some notes got mixed with the breathing sound, and sounds like she’s drooling or her lips is drowning in water, her English vb samples sounds fine during the time she released, but listening it now makes me think that some of her notes with “RR” and “FF” V4X: call me bias and all, I couldn’t care less, but imo, her V4X sounds much more clearer, she doesn’t sound like she’s drowning and her pitch bends sounds more smoother, her notes doesn’t mixed with breathing sounds and much more, her English vb sounds more clearer and you can hear her pronounce the alphabets more clearer.

I can't lie, after using both versions of Luka, V2 is definitely the best one when it comes to Japanese. She just sounds better and clear. Luka V4X is just way too robotic and doesn't sound like she should? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind V4X Hard, but it's just not it. I mean tbh I know people complain about her V2 cutting off and stuff but I think it depends what software you use her on. They all say about engine sounds, choppiness and stuff, but honestly V2 sounds a lot smoother on Piapro than Vocaloid 2. Rambling aside, her V4X English vbs are nice at least :') Idk Crypton just seem to fumble the bag with her because SP just released and she sounds SO MUCH like Miku and she isn't really all that understandable :(((((

I don't see this talked about often, but her V4 "Soft" English VB literally sounds exactly the same as her V4 Straight English voice but with a nasty growl effect added and it's just so bad, I don't know how they got away with it... It's like they tried so hard to make her V4 into multiple separate voicebanks when in reality it's just 3 different voices...

Late to give this a comment, I concluded that Luka's V4x STRAIGHT English sounded like Luka V2 without the robotic and choppy sound, v4x SOFT English sounded like a little raspy. I really thought that V4x STRAIGHT and V2 could blend well in a song, while V4x SOFT Japanese and V2 English are second partners. If does that made sense.

@@antito_p If you use her in the engine she comes with, piapro studio, and highlight notes before right clicking them (or if you have an illegal plugin in v4), you can change her evec. miku, rin, and len have these too, yet luka has notably more (like... a lot more)

luka v4 was actually made to be used with evec, its just an obscure feature for a semi obscure version of vocaloid, so people don't use her with it
