February February. Get ink, shed tears. Write of it, sob your heart out, sing, While torrential slush that roars Burns in the blackness of the spring. Go hire a buggy. For six grivnas, Race through the noi[s]e of bells and wheels To where the ink and all you[r] grieving Are muffled when the rainshower falls. To where, like pears burnt black as charcoal, A myriad rooks, plucked from the trees, Fall down into the puddles, hurl Dry sadness deep into the eyes. Below, the wet black earth shows through, With sudden cries the wind is pitted, The more haphazard, the more true The poetry that sobs its heart out. She rose above her insecurities and what happens? She loses control of her future and she spirals upwards into madness and corruption even on the inside which she expresses every last part of them in this melody and in these lyrics.

Year ago.... are you saying Regina or something about the song? I think she was very in control to make this, not like a normal rockstar where other's help make absolutely everything easy.
@AviTubeful894 жыл бұрын
@@OrhallaZander I think both. But she's blindly expressing her decision of her future but it is leading her into a downward spiral of madness and corruption even on the inside after making a decision about rising above her insecurities above everything else and above all else.

Thank you for the upload. I love her music, but I always have trouble hearing the lyrics..... my hearing is goofball.... I don't hear the words natural like most, but this has been my theme song for any time I've fallen down.... and I knew I had to get up. Next, I need to look up the text of the other languages. I love her mix of languages. One of the best artists in decades since before her birth.

I've seen that English version before, but it seems to me like a forced translation designed to fit an artificial rhythm. I'd translate it more literally like this: "February. Fetch ink and cry! Write about February while weeping, As the crashing slush Burns in the black spring." The poem was written by Boris Pasternak, most famous in the West for "Doctor Zhivago", in remembrance of the February Revolution of 1917, during which Emperor Nikolai II abdicated, precipitating the Bolshevik revolution in October that year and the murder of the entire Romanov family shortly after.

A GREAT Song! The piano part sounds like something from Rachmaninov. Some of the lyrics are from Pushkin.

Rose Hunter yes but the poem she sings is in Russian. She’s from Moscow and speaks many languages.

She fleed with her family when she was a young girl. They couldn’t afford to take anything with them to the America’s. Not even her piano. She practiced for a year on different surfaces not wanting to lose her skill until she could get ahold of a piano again.
