April 4 2020 walk about

Hi! Friends! ... It seems like just a short time ago I was making the walking trails in the forest with my old snow blower. Bear, and I enjoyed many walks on those trails this winter. We go for long walks several times a day, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Now Spring time is here! Everything will come back to life soon. It is amazing how fast the seasons change here in central Wisconsin. The Robins have returned, and the frogs have already come out of hibernation, and are singing in the swamps.
I am sure there will be a few more snowfalls, but any new snow will melt pretty fast in the warm sunshine this time of the year.

Hi! Austin! .. Thank's for stopping by, and thanks for watching my video! and your nice comment! ... The snow is finally gone, and some trees are starting to bud a little more each day. It might snow again this month, but if it does it will melt fast. This morning it is 55 degrees and cloudy. Bear an I just finished our walk in the forest. Bear has to sniff everything, so the walk takes a while. Ha! Ha! We didn't see any deer today. That is a good thing, because Bear thinks he should run, and play with them. woof woof! Now my arm is longer from him pulling on his leash. Ha! Ha! I am looking forward to Spring when everything comes back to life. (except the mosquitoes, and wood tics) The Robins have come back, and the frogs have come out of hibernation, and are singing now. rib bit, croak, rib bit. Sometimes I sing along with them. Ha! Ha! I hope you guys are all doing good, and the virus stuff hasn't gotten to anyone you know. Our family here are all doing ok, and haven't gotten the virus. I think there are 3 cases being treated in our small hospital now. This area would probably be safe if the big city, and out of State people would obey the stay at home rule, and not chance bring the virus up here. Some people have come up here to their cabins like it is vacation time. There are a lot of old people living here full time, and our hospital, and emergency services are small, and couldn't handle a large break out. But so far things are doing ok. I really liked your cooking video! You did a great job. Very professional looking. I like the way you put humor in your video. Cool! I can't wait to see what you are going to cook up next! For some reason silly U Tube put your comment in the spam folder. I just found it now. .... The weather is slowly getting warmer now. And the trees are getting leaves. I always like Spring time when everything comes back to life. ... well not so much about the bugs coming to life. Ha! Ha! ... It is nice living here in the forest. I feed the animals and watch them. That really is a nice area you live in there Mike, i can feel the peacefulness there just from your video.. That's shocking people being allowed to cut down trees on your property without your consent, and without any real reason to do so either, that would make me so mad.. Sometimes I miss some of the thing a person can do when living closer to the cities. Like go to the museum, zoo, and different places like that. But for the most part I don't miss huge crowds of people, and busy traffic on the roads. .... I agree it is a shame they cut down those big trees. The county can do whatever they want to do within 15 feet of the road. .... About 15 years ago a crazy old guy who lived about 2 miles from me got angry when they wanted to cut down his nice oak trees in front of his house. The county wouldn't just leave him alone, and work someplace else.. So the old guy got out his hunting gun, and started shooting at the workers truck to protect his trees. .... To make a long story short, the police came, and the old guy shot, and killed one of the police. Now the old guy is spending the rest of his life in jail, and they cut down his trees anyhow. Once the government, even the local government has made up it's mind to do something it is almost impossible to change their minds. .... On a brighter subject. It is sunny today! It snowed about an inch last night, but the sun should melt it fast. I don't mind the snow because it will cover up the wood tics. They come back to life ans soon as it warms up. Hi! Bob! .. Thank you for watching my video! and thank's for your nice comments! .... When I uploaded this video last evening I checked the box that says "this video for kids". I didn't know it, but then U Tube automatically turns off the comments on kid safe videos. So this morning I went to edit, and checked the" not made for kids" box, and the comments automatically turned back on. ... It was late when this video finally finished up last night. zzz.z.z.z So I didn't watch this video last night, or I would have seen the comments were turned off. My internet is really slow with so many people at home using the internet so it took a long time to upload. ....The virus stuff keeps getting worse over here. Every day I watch the news, and the number of sick, and thousands of people dying is terrible. It is a horrible sight to see the refrigerated semi trucks that they are using for temporary morgues. Lots of people are out of work, and running out of money to take care of their family's needs. That is going to be another big problem. Hopefully things will get better soon. ... Those tree faces are cool. My son was giving them to me for my birthdays. So I have a few of them around. People say the faces keep bad spirits out of the forest. They must work, because all of the spirits, and animals here are friendly. Ha! Ha! ..... It was sunny, and 57 degrees F. today. I can see buds starting to grow on some of the trees, and berry bushes. The frogs in the swamps came out of hibernation, and have started to sing at the sunshine too. ribbit croak ribbit! They kind of sound like me when they sing. Ha! Ha! Hi Mike, gee it all looks different without the snow on the trees and all over the ground and everywhere. Bet you are happy though as much easier for you to get about and have your walks with Bear! Glad your cough is much better but make sure you take good care and have plenty of honey and lemon drinks and garlic. : ) No good the County Workers cut down some of the trees on your property, they are lovely trees and very healthy … maybe they were worried some branches might fall on the road when strong winds are about. I love the fun tree face Mike and maybe the squirrels thought the eyes were berries they could eat and hoping they didn`t swallow them! : ) Bet Bear was mad with you for not letting him out for the walk and to be in your video, you will have to put him on video next time so I can see him again. : ) Wishing you, Bear, Kitty and family a very nice rest of the week staying safe and well! Hi! Angeline! .. Thank you for watching my video! and thank you for your nice comments! ... Bear and I have been enjoying our walks. Now that the snow is melted we can walk in places that we heaven't been able to walk in a while. The weather has cooled down today. A cold front has come down from Canada. So it is 37 degrees F now. The weather guy on TV said it could snow again. It is something how fast the weather changes here. I don't think the squirrels could swallow the eye balls from the tree face. They were pretty big. The eye balls had a peg sticking out of the back of them. That is how they probably carried them. ... Bear is funny. I haven't made videos in quite a while. But every time I pick up my camera to charge the battery he gets exciter. Ha! Ha! I bought a new battery for my camera so I can make more videos now. Oh! The main reason the county cut those trees down. I was told that the county is responsible for fifteen feet from the edge of the road's. Trees could fall, blocking the road during a bad storm, and be a problem. There are lots of roads with trees right up to the edge of the road in this county. But this road is one of the emergency route's to a bunch of summer homes, and the large golf coarse, and condos just a few miles down the road from me. It is hard to picture a condo, and golf coarse out here in the middle of no where. It is pretty nice, lots of condos, and huge, fancy golf coarse, and by the lake, so people with money can party, and play. In the summer at night I can sometimes hear the rock bands playing over there, and the fireworks. .. I don't really notice the people that go to the condos. They usually take the other road to get there. My road is more used by the fishermen going to the river, and summer home people. ..... woof! woof! It's Bear's walk time! Hi! Trish and the party cats! .. Thank you for watching my video! and thank you for your nice comments! ... You are right. Bear was watching out the window to see what I was doing. He likes to walk with me when I make videos. But then he usually gets excited and wants to zoom and pull when I talk. Then I have to edit a bunch of parts out of my video! Ha! Ha! Bear does like his peanut butter Bear treats. I made him another batch a few days ago. crunch crunch! They are good with my coffee too! Ha! Ha! You are right, The leaves are very dry this time of the year. The police have a no burn warning out now. They want the fire an rescue people available to fight virus stuff, and not have to fight fires. Ha! Ha! I never know what he is going to do next! I bet Stimpy did put the squirrels up to stealing the tree face's eyeballs. Ha! Ha! I have no idea where they are. If I ever find then I will have to post a picture of them. Ha! Ha! .... Years ago, at least 20 or more years ago I dug up about 80 little pine trees around the forest, and planted them all in front of the house. Like I said it took a few beers to do the job. Ha! Ha! When I was young I use to have a lot of energy, and do all kinds of things. That is why it gets me down when I can no longer do so many things. I tried teaching Bear to pull the lawn mower around, but he never did get the hang of it. Ha! Ha! ..It is horrible what the virus is doing world wide. I agree with you about the virus, and all of the other stuff. You are not alone with what you think. A lot of people feel the same way. Hi! Elden! ...Thank you for stopping by! and thank you for watching my video, and your nice comment! ..... You are right, I am definitely isolated here. In summer it gets a bit busy when the weekend people come here from the cities. Even though there is a stay at home in place, people are still traveling up here from the cities, and other States. Chicago, and other areas the people come from are hit pretty bad with the virus. Hopefully they aren't bringing more of the virus along with them when they come up here. Because this community has a lot of old people, and the hospital, and medical support here is very small, and is already asking for donations, and more supplies. It is nice to see the weather warming up. I don't mind some snow. Winter gets rid of the bugs, Ha! Ha! But this year it was a lot of work for me to keep cleaning up the snow. I have a lot of projects around here that I want to do, but can't seem to get them done. When I try and do things now, I can tell I am going down hill, and I don't mean the hill down to the creek. Ha! Ha! ... I hear on the news that things are pretty bad by you guys. I hope, and pray that you and your family, and friends are all safe, and well. Keep safe, and well. @@ilikoldies yes Mike I can understand that things get harder to do. My wife and girls are doing good. And I keep checking in with my Daughters and Mom who are Hopefully staying put where they are as much as possible. I have to go to work Because I'm the foreman in charge of my department at Stater Bros Markets. But I pray for Gods protection and try to take precautions at the same time. In the last three weeks it's been to work and back home And will be that way until this thing is over. I've had to deal with a lot of things over the 32 years I've done this job. But this is the first time I've had to deal with this. I always thought I'd have to deal with a disaster of a different nature first Being that we have trained for that living in Earthquake country.
